Got to love San Antonio!! I've been there every summer for the last 30 years. Yeah, I'm old. Unfortunately, the four hour trek from Thousand Oaks (where I grew up) is now a 7-8 hour trek from San Diego, but it's well worth it!

Looks like you guys had a great time we were at the lake 2 years ago and are heading up there this weekend it is where my kids learned to water ski and wakeboard so we are looking forward to it, The last time we were up there we camped out on the north shore with trailers and hookups and would go down to the lake all day and camp on the beach since somebody on this post mention the water is very high is that still availble and if so where on the lake is the best spot

Thanks for your help

I was there on Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, the water didn't look nearly as nice. They said the temp was up around 115. By the way, super nice wake.

Tom ... we always beach camp... but at McCandles the water is about 50'-60'from the road... all the campgrounds are(depending where you are) 100 yds closer to the water and 2/3 of the beach camping is gone... I dont think any of the regular camps were affected...the place is busy on the weekend... durring the week there was hardly anyone there... anyway enjoy trip
