Wakesurfing Laws

I have been searching forever and cannot find the thread about the California laws regarding wake surfing. Our local sheriff is in a tissy over it and I remember someone researching it a while ago.
Anyone know where or what it is?

we were @ Shasta all weekend and had different Sherriff pass rigth by us but never said or did anything and I was expecting some hassle for some reason.

I'm curious too.

Rick we were at Shasta all last week too. Did you see a black x-10 in the McCloud arm, I think I saw your boat out there.
