Hey guys;
So after 22 years of living less than three hours from Yosemite, the wifey and I are going to finally make a day trip this weekend. We have never been to the park, and are looking for "first timers" suggestions on what to do, where to park, which hikes are a must, etc.
Let me know. Thanks !!

Stay out of the rivers above the falls, below them is always a better choice. Also, spend more than a day there, its almost impossible to recommend anything with that little time. Take a week(or two)!!!

Hike to the top of half dome -- but it take a full day up/back.

first go directly to Glacier Point hang there for the views down to the valley , the Awahnee, Vernal Falls(the one the 3 went off of), on the way to (or from) Glacier there is a short hike out to a dome(sentinel?(the fissures) that is short and sweet just dont fall off the 3000 ft drop cause theres no railings there. Then drive down into Yosemite Valley and stop as you see fit(Bridalveil Falls is quick and fun), go to the visitor center, Happy Isles, the Awahnee for a drink or a meal then go down and lie on your back in the meadow and look up at the cliffs and spot climbers...and your day is pretty much over
