Guys I have a 2010 Mazda 3 (sedan) and I am looking for a roof rack. OEM racks (even with a discount, my uncle's a dealer) are $300 + tax. I am a newbie to roof racks and am looking to get into mountain biking. I just dont know what I need and I've been looking online and everything is SO expensive for just the rack, without any bike attachments. I need a rack without bike attachments to move from Minnesota to Arizona in a month, and then I will add a bike attachment.

Anyone know where to find relatively inexpensive roof racks, has one for a 2010 Mazda (earlier models wont fit because body style changed!)? I would sincerely appreciate it. Thanks!

Hey Eder,

Have you checked craigslist?

I have some pieces to the rack that might help you out. I have bars but i thinkt hey are two short.

My stuff is yakima. I had it on my previous car but it does not fit my 08 mazda3. So i just use a trunk rack for my bike.

I have stuff i would like to get rid of. I have the Q towers and bars I also have a bike rack and a stretch kit but i dont think you will need that.

Send me a pm if you are interested in anything.

It is all hanging in my garage and has not been used for 2 years

ya, check CS for the base bars. If you get new bike trays, I like www.rockymounts.com

Have a pair of them, they work great and were less $$$$ I did Mount Blanc base system and the Rocky Mounts trays for half what a Thule or Yakima system costs.

Sean - thanks.....all the terms are jargon to me still. I'm that new to roof racks! haha. Whats even worst is that if I dont buy OEM, there are so many choices that I wouldnt know where to start. Craigslist has not been so friendly thus far but Ima keep at it.
