Ok it's not really a sport yet but I saw it on a surfing video and I cant get it out of my head. Has anyone seen that guy in Hawaii that took an airchair and put snowboard bindings on it and surfs big waves?

I keep trying to figure out how to make my own and was wondering if anyone has done it behind a boat.

Sky Ski makes them. Saw them last year. They are using snowboard type of boot/binding with a cable release. I have been told hydrofoilers can ride the swells in from 5 miles out.

Of course most of the guys look old so I guess the sport hasn't really started but it looks like a lot of fun.

Alot of guys are having their airchair/skyski converted to stand up and still riding behind a boat. They use snowboard boots on adaptor plates.
