Is there any place in central florida where you can board all day and pull up on a beach and pitch a tent? Looking for something freshwater and doesnt have any other people around at night. I checked out hontoon state park but I want more of the roughing it camping.
Thanks,
Charlie

Check Lake Placid Florida, with all the lakes there you can probably find one to camp on.

Hey Charlie, have you thought about lakes Kississmee or Hatchneha? Lots of gators but its definitely roughing it. Lake Hamilton has an island in the middle as well.

Charlie,

Check out the lakes Billy mentioned (Kissimmee and Hatchneha). We used to go out there and ride all day then pitch a tent on the side of a bank. BTW, there are LOTS of airboaters (we airboat there as well at night) so keep that in mind when wanting to camp somewhere there are not alot of people around.
