I've seen about 4 different Centurions (owned one) and I've never seen one of them that threw the same wake twice. Whether that's due to passengers or gas level or whatever, the point is that EVERY Centurion I've been in is super sensitive to weight, mushy and washy. The surf wake, however, is awesome.

My point is this is an all new hull you have never boarded behind the 216. If you look at the back of the 216 http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/352426.html?1154574190 it is way differnt than the Avalanche,Cyclone etc. This boat is not weight senesative since it has way less V

I guess my 98 is pre-C4 hull and it is not that sensitive and is very consistent and not mushy. We dialed it in with 1200 lbs but that seems to be optimum. IOW more is not better. I will say the limit of the nice shaped wake is out to 75'

Here are 3 pics of my 2005 Avalanche wake. This is with factory ballast plus 300 pounds of lead and 3 people in the boat. There is a HS wake, TS wake and Total wake. In all cases the rider is at 75 ft and the speed is 23 - 24 mph.

I always hesitate to post wake pics because it is so difficult to capture reality. Maybe I'm just not a good photographer.

It took us a few trys with the lead to get the balance and front back ratio to clean up the wake. Previous boat as a Moomba and we spend alotof time behind friends Supra 22SSV and 24 SSV. The Centurion wake is more vertical, very solid and pops more up than out. My 16 year old son is a very good rider, he is extremly happy with the wake and has progressed tremendously in the past year with this boat. We have 300 hours on the boat since July 1, 2005.

George, good pix...but, are you sure that the third pic was taken at 23mph? The rider looks like he's leaning back pretty hard, as most riders do while the boat's planing. The rooster tail also looks a little wide for that speed.
Not trying to argue, just asking.

Nice water!

2000 Elite-V with 5 people and no ballast. She holds 1600 lbs, we just didn't seem to need it this day. Rope is at 70 ft. 23 mph.

George, where do you put your 300 pounds of lead?

Scott, I'm sure we were at speed when the 3r pic was taken. The hyd wake plate on the Centurion makes the rooster tail spread like that, I believe that is one of the reasons for side to side sensitivity.

Wakeboarder3922 most of the lead is under the rear corner seat on the port side to get the wake balanced. I have 10 blocks, use 2 of them to move around for fine tuning.
