450+ yards passing and Rivers still succums to the Twelfth Man!

This year is pretty nuts.

Pending how things go monday, its been looking like its going to be Packers v. Colts when its all said and done.

don't see how you can predict anything after 3 games.the titans proved that if you get on the right side of the turnover battle you can win. the chiefs have been suprising. the vikes and the boys are headed in the right direction . mike vick is proving he is capable of leading the eagles.the saints got bit by the dirty birds.i think they will be looking for a kicker.the cards took the raiders best shot and barely hung on.the rams are improving.tampa bay is tampa bay. everyone is jumping on the steelers bandwagon. but who have they played?the bengals are squeeking out wins. the ravens looked good.the pats look suspect on defense letting the bills get a 30 burger.after 3 games teams are still making changes and adapting to other teams changes. still too early to tell.

Definitely some good games this past weekend. Seattle fans played a big part in that game....I believe I saw 3 false starts, and I only watched the second half.

It looks to me like all 3 teams the Steelers have beat are 2-1and tied for the division lead, so that's good with a 4th string qb.

the bears gladly take the gift of 17 penaltys from green bay and are the only undefeated team in the nfc. but for how long?

^ I think at half they had 7 rushes for yards.... Can't think of many other teams that start a FB to take most of the carries.

They're going to hvae to pick up someone to help out there or its going to become a rough season fast -- Willie Parker would fit their offense nicely I think - good hands, good blocker.

So of the 3 undefeated teams in the league who would have guess 2 of them to be bears and cheifs?
Old     (cwb4me)      Join Date: Apr 2010       09-28-2010, 7:01 AM Reply
certainly not me and i wouldn't have guessed the steelers either knowing before the season that ben wasn't going to play. i would give credit to mike martz, mike tomlin and todd haley and his staff in making all their players believe. that being said each of these teams have had a little nfl luck on their sides. we will see how long it stays that way.

As a Chiefs fan I haven't bought in completely that they are a true contender. Although the San Diego and San Fran wins I thought were pretty impressive. We're on a bye week then we'll have a true test at Indy. If the Chiefs win that game then i'll start really believing. Either way I'm psyched that the Chiefs are 3-0 as it's been a while since they've had a good season!

As a Packers fan, last night sucked, but I'm over it. The Packers played extremely sloppy, had more yards and killed in time of posession. As bad as they played, they still win that game if just 1 of the 10 things that didn't go there way had. Anyone watching that game really think the Bears are better than the Packers? I'll still take the Pack to win the division.

Well Dave...

We betting on the game this week? Considering both teams power house offenses it should be and interesting game.

I'll take the Hawks straight up for $20.

What say ya?

I'm standing behind my prediction that the Bears would be the surprise from the NFC.

I'm going to go a bit further...

I am picking the Bears to win the North and to make it to the Super Bowl.
Old     (sidekicknicholas)      Join Date: Mar 2007       09-29-2010, 9:05 AM Reply
What keeps me thinking the packers are #1 in the north (besides that I'm from Wisco) is that they barely lost with almost more penalty yards than the bears total offense - and no running game.

If they can address the HB situation they'll be on fire. To almost beat a team with a completely 1 dimensional offense is pretty wild.

both jeremy and nick have good points. nick i hear marshawn lynch may be a possible choice buffalo could use a draft pick for their rebuilding process.jeremy what can i say your bears came into big D and suprised me and the dallas defense.kudos to mike martz.

^Well, I didn't mean to give the impression that I am a diehard Bears fan. As a matter of fact, I'm hardly a fan at all. (I am a diehard Titans fan) But I am impressed how the offense seems to be improving (I still think that Hester needs to be more involved, whatever it takes to get the ball in his hands). Counter that with a pretty solid D, the Bears look to be a contender.
Old     (dlamont)      Join Date: Apr 2003       09-29-2010, 1:28 PM Reply
I watched the GB/Bears game on Monday and haven't really watched the Bears D in the last two seasons. They look almost as mean as when they went to the SB. Urlacher, Briggs, and now Peppers! That just sounds like pain.
Other than the Hawks game with the Rams, which could be a good one, I can't wait for the Pitt/Baltimore game. That has to be one of the best rivalries in the NFL right now.

Who is #71 or #75 for the bears - he was a D-lineman and is HUGE! I didn't see him actually do anything, but he was standing next to Peppers and made Peppers look small, thats quite a task.

donovan goes to philly and 8-19 for 125 yrds is enough, well the defense knocked out michael vick also.houston bounces back against oakland.jacksonville upsets the colts and are tied with titans an colts while houston leads, but it's still early.atlanta gets a late win and boy i was wrong about 49ers,but in that division they are still in it.new orleans squeaks one in.green bay just gets by detroit.pittsburg FINALLY played a playoff team and what happened in their house.the RAMS are for real just ask seattle.T.O. GOES FOR 212 ON 10 CATCHES but its not enough.jets win again.san diego STOMPS cards. broncos take advantage of more tennessee mistakes.a real barn burner in ny almost halftime and it's 3-0 giants over the bears.this year is parody.

The Giants D owned Chicago last night. Bears fans better not chalk up a division title just yet. The Giants offense looked absolutely awful but the Bears found a way to lose that game.
This should be an interesting year since no team looks unbeatable. It's been a few years since there was no team that looked scary after a month of football. I'm definitely looking for the Cowboys to come off of their bye week strong against the Titans.

What happened in Pittsburgh on Sunday??? Steelers lost a close, brutal game to the Ravens, doesn't take anything away from them. Not too many teams go undefeated. They are still in good shape, have rediscovered their running game, defense will be fine once the offense can shoulder their share of the load. 3 and 1 without Ben is a bonus.

looks like randy moss is going back to the vikings and green bay missed their chance at marshawn lynch seattle scooped him up. oh and the steelers should do okay this week they have time to lick their wounds with a bye week.

Agreed with Moss helping the Vikes.... even if he isn't getting all the catches the double teams he'll be taking up is going to help Percy a ****load.

Cliff- Are you happy with the Marshawn Lynch pick up? I remember telling you back when you picked up Julius Jones that you wouldn't be happy with him since he is as durable as fine china. I think Lynch is a definite step-up from where you guys were at. If only a real QB became available!

Moss to the Vikings is a huge pick up for them. Even if the guy doesn't get a catch in a game you better believe he is pulling a lot of attention away from the guys who are getting the catches which is big. That one handed catch he had in the end zone a couple of weeks ago was amazing. I've seen a lot of one handed catches before but they normally involve a player reeling the ball in to his body with the one hand. For him to literally catch the ball with one hand was amazing. The ball never touched his body or anything else, his hands must be absolutely huge.

Robert, did you watch the highlights of that Miami-New England game? I know a bunch of people who have Brady on their fantasy teams who were livid, because he only threw one touchdown pass, and the offense only got two of those touchdowns. Two defensive touchdowns and some amazing work by the Patriots special teams threw my fins back into the ocean... Special teams coach for Miami was fired the next day, hahaha.

I love statements like that. Funny how the lowly NFC West teams keep showing up in the NFC championship and the Superbowl this decade. Guess the rest of those dominant NFC devisions must be too good get to the big show huh?

Poor Niner's. I thought they'd win this one.

you know you root for america's most popular team and a very sucessful one at that when everyone likes to see you lose even if their not in your division or conference.but i'm still true blue i saw over 500 yards of offense. mistakes and penaltys can be corrected.much like other games i've seen when you give up 3 turnovers 2 when your ready to score 2 missed fg's 10 plus penaltys and other mistakes too numorous to mention and only lose by seven either your pretty good or the other teams pretty bad. you make the call. it's one or the other because their is no in between.

give favre his props for an old guy he takes a licking and keeps on throwing TD'S. over 500 and yards over 70000. and lets no forget 290 straight starts he is tough. randy moss can still get it done. only days of practice and learning a new offense with a new quarterback. TD in his first start.but in the end it wasn't enough. dallas 1-3 minnesota 1-3 one team will win next week but both have a long way to go to see the playoffs.

Those big mean Bears and their nasty defense just couldn't match up with my little ole Hawks offense with Marshawn. There was one bad ass defense on the field though... ours.

How's the no brainer now?

Unfrickinbelievable! The Cowboys seem to find a way to lose week after week. As a life long Cowboy fan I've got to say that i'm truly disgusted with the way they've been playing. Too many penalties, turnovers at the worst times, the list goes on and on. It's a shame that a team with so much talent is also undisciplined enough to continue to give games away. I've tried to stand behind the decision to keep Wade Phillips but I'm done with that. There's no reason that all these talented players are allowed to play like talented players as opposed to playing like a talented team. `

I almost had a tri fecta yesterday if your Rammies would have lost. It is deliciously satisfying to watch two NFC West teams hand it to San Diego this year.

I decided to take the Jaguars tonight. I figure if Jeremy say's the Titans will win this week they're bound to lose.
