Just signed up this morning. Gotta give props for an awesome site. Lots of niiiice boats and some good info.
Just starting to get into boarding and also picked up a new boat. 2006 Tahoe Q4 sport (19'5, 4.3). Its not great for boarding, but it pulls a 220+lb. rider up easily and should be a good boat for me to learn on. Keep up the great work on the site!

Here's a quick pic of the boat and tow rig. Have only had it 2 weeks now. Still waiting to get the tower speakers, amp and subs installed along w/board mounts. Oh and the matching trailer wheels are already on the way(18s for the trailer, 20s on truck)

Welcome redneck! Good to see other "rednecks" joining. Im originally from MS so Im a true blooded redneck as well. Hope you enjoy your new boat...if you have any questions, you are at the place. WW members are great at helping each other out.

From what I could tell its a great place to answer my questions! I am enjoying the fire out of it. Only had it out twice now, but it pulls really well and the wake isn't terrible. Nothing a couple fat sacs won't cure.

My last boat was a Tahoe Q5. We had a great time with it. To get the wake looking nice, a locker-sac is essential. We also had a 600 lb fatsac in front of the rear seats, but with a boat the size of yours, that might not be necessary for a good shape. Make sure you trim up a little over an eighth, it makes the wake nice and lippy.

Moved on to the 04' Tige Switch V this year. Could not be happier.

Thanks for the advice Garret. I was figuring on a sac in the same place and one 200-300 or so in the ski locker. From what I could tell with just me(I go 265) and 2 other 200+ guys in it, it had a nice shape to it. Thanks for the advice on the trim, I'll try that this weekend.

Yea I'm gonna hang onto this one for a couple years(picked it up just to get my feet wet and see how I'd stick w/boarding) and then upgrade to a Supra 21V. My dream boat!
