I got to watch the Vandal ride today, from the boat. It was incredible, and enlightening. After playing around on the wake a little bit, busted a melan half-cab off the wake 40 feet into the flats, and 10 feet up. Next, did a huge grabbed slim chance, and threw a switch heel mobe 30 feet into the flats, like it was nothing. Incredible. He was throwing wrapped heel 9's off the double-up that were just massive. it was rad.

I rode in the car with Dale Jr. today at Daytona, we had to cut it short because of my boxing match with Muhamad Ali that afternoon. Damn I forgot my camera.
Just kidding thane, get some pics

I didn't get any pics or video, there were people shooting stills, and filming. I just watched and let the images burn into my memory. I've never watched him ride, and I don't know when I will be able to again, so I figured I would just enjoy it fully, rather than looking through a lens, and I didn't have a camera. I wish all of you could have seen what I saw.

Brodie - backwater at Canyon.

Hahn - I'm trying to bring RAD back.

Duffy - I would like to know who you rode with on Friday.

Duffy,

if you got to ride with one of the most influential riders in wakeboarding who hadn't been out in the open much until recently, you're telling me you wouldn't let everyone know???

for those that don't know, rad never left...

thane, I've heard it's pretty incredible to watch (and hear) him ride. when the LFTAA came through my neck of the woods, I was talking to the art director about randy and he said it's insane because you can hear his board slap against the water at a fair distance away (he said something about the backwater at canyon lake). This was back in 03 so I don't recall all of the details, but it proves to be true when you watch "blacklist."

Anodyne, we did ride with, IMO, one of the most influential riders, and no we did not post to let everyone know...At least not until Duffy opened his mouth. JK

Duff, are you up for an early AM ride on Saturday if it's nice?

In the back of my mind I was thiking it was Randy. Sure enough around the split of Vic he came going shore to shore.
