Wow if there is only 6 of you I rode with 4 of the 6 at Ronnie's place last summer.

All the guys were great guys and a fun time, being a Nebraska native (born in Lincoln) it was fun to take a ride there.

You can add one more to the list from Lincoln. I am 35, but I am willing to ride with anyone whenever possible. I got out to Branched Oak/Pawnee and I have my own boat if there is ever anyone that needs a pull.

I can tell you one thing, I am ready for this weather to be done. Too much snow, too much cold, too much winter...I WANT SUMMER HERE NOW!

As for trips, we love Table Rock Lake in MO. We make the trip 3-4 times a year. Great lake...It's big enough to get away from everyone to ride, and yet there are enough places to hang out with others if you want. It's a good time if you get a chance to go.

Old     (vanagonwake)      Join Date: Oct 2007       02-17-2008, 10:36 PM Reply
Used to go to branched oak but too many people and can never get glass. I prefur Blue stem. Small lake and only ever one other boat. I get 3-5 hours of glass as long as i'm on the water by 8am. can't wait for this snow to be gone but i have a feeling it will be around for awhile :-(
Old     (boardcrazy)      Join Date: Oct 2003       02-18-2008, 12:58 AM Reply
Table Rock is about 7 hours away.

I don't even attempt to hit the lakes on the weekends, it's just too busy. Friday night through Sunday has too many people waking it up. I try to get out during the week or early in the morning.

Hey Keir, what kind of loans do you do? We are going to be building a house next year and will need a loan. If you can get me a good rate, I know someone that will give you all the free pulls you want...

ya, forgot about Blue Stem it is a nice little lake...just last time i was there, we were camping, a tornado was on the other side of the lake!

Im with ya man, i hate the snow, what happened to our last few winters? they were actually pretty warm.
Old     (boardcrazy)      Join Date: Oct 2003       02-18-2008, 5:09 PM Reply
Jesse- It depends where you stay on Table Rock. I have found that staying near Party Cove/Kimberling City is nice. That way you can head up towards Cape Fare where there is less traffic. Weekends are like anywhere else, it's going to be a little busier.

Keir- No need for student loans, but you are still welcome to ride with us anytime.

Jason- I would say early mornings are safe on any of the local lakes, but if you are heading out over the weekend, I would look for one of the smaller lakes. Let me know when you're going to be in town, maybe we can ride together.

Yeah, Im out of lincoln, Looks like there's a lot more around than I counted originally! Nice to see.

I hit branched oak a decent amount, just because it's close, but I prefer Milford lake or Lewis and Clark up north, you can find good water most any time on those (unless the wind is out of the west on lewis and clark)

I'm definately hook up with some ore of you guys to ride

Right now I'm rockin a marius and a Roam, just got the roam but lookin forward to it!

It's good to see so many people on here. I knew that there were a lot of you that boarded around Fremont, but it's nice to see so many of you are near Lincoln. I am always up for riding with new people. If I am invited, and I don't have to work, then I am in...

Do you guys know of any camps around here?
Old     (boardcrazy)      Join Date: Oct 2003       02-19-2008, 5:05 PM Reply
We have a ways to go before we can even think about getting in the water, but keep in touch and we can meet up and ride together. Anyone is welcome to ride with us. I don't normally have enough time to make the trip to Fremont, but anytime your in the Lincoln area we will have to hit the lake.

I miss boarding so bad right now it's not even funny. Probably sounds funny coming from an old man like me, but I love being on the water whenever I can. I might have to post some pics when I get home...just to help we get through to the winter.

You can do them in Fremont with Ronnie's crew...never been to one, but he is a great guy and I am sure he's a great teacher. He has pros that come in and do clinics all the time.

Ronnie, what days are the boat show? If I have enough time I would like to go. I love going to them and seeing all the new stuff..what's on tap for this summer?
Old     (boardcrazy)      Join Date: Oct 2003       02-21-2008, 1:00 PM Reply
I say we all should try and keep this post going so we can stay in touch until summer. That way we can all do some ridin when it warms up. Also other Nebraska riders might get on and join in the thread. How about posting pics of yourself boarding...that should help us get to the warmer weather, or at least make us long for it a little more.

Here is one of me several years ago. Nothing special about it, but I have always liked it. It might look funny because I had to crop so it would not be too big. I not as much of a technological nerd as others.

I don't have any fav's right now, but to answer your question, Last year we went down a few time,s I can't remember exactly how many. It's definately nice to board on as there are always places you can find good water, even during weekends such as Labor Day and such

Thanks Ben, I will keep that in mind when I have a long weekend want to get away to a lake that isn't too far down the road.

Looks like the only day I can make the boat show is Thursday, and even that is not going to be easy. I need to do some schedule changing to make it happen. I will see how things play out before then.

I have a couple 360 pics of me that I like also. I will have to throw one up when I get home. I lost those a few years back when I quit practicing them. It's tough to do the spins when you get older and quit throwing them on a regular basis.

Ronnie, I might be sandbaggin a little...I didn't want to bust one of those out and then have people think I have some kind of talent. All the tricks I know(which aren't many) are self taught. I used so see something cool on ESPN 2 and then I would go out and try it.

I guess what I am trying to say is that I have very few tricks in my arsenal bag because I didn't have someone that knew what they are doing teaching me. I guess I should have taken a few lessons from you and your crew before the my age started to slow me down.

I still love riding, I just can't attempt the new tricks as fearless I once did...it hurts too bad the next morning...or should I say the next week.

You need to get that http://www.wakeboardnebraska.com calendar updated so I can make some of your events this summer. With kids and my work schedule, I need to plan in advance. This summer shouldn't be as busy for me.

Here is another old pic of me doing a 360. This was behind my old Crownline.

nwsjake10, I am guessing you work or own wake n skate? I am looking to upgrade my ballast system through Flyhigh and I know that you carry their stuff. Is that something you can help me install if I get it? I talked with someone at wake n skate on the phone about it a couple of weeks ago but I didn't follow up on it.

Yea, I used to work at wake n skate back when we first opened, still do some holiday help as well..helping with events and stuff, just not my full-time gig anymore. But for the ballast at lot depends on what you are exactly wanting to "upgrade", what are you thinkin?

I am looking at getting the X-Star upgrade for a 2006. I am sure that I will need the upgrade that comes with all the parts and accessories needed to intergrate it with the ballast system that is already in the boat. I want to hit the switch and have it fill/empty.
