He is 15 years old to.. Couldn't have rode behind too many boats yet.

he could be 16...

i bet a good percentage of people do not update their profiles often and so the age is probably incorrect

i know i went out on my boys sante 220 today even though i swore last yr i never would again. Its offically the worst wake i have ever tried to ride. 27 miles and hr and still curling over and washed out on the other side. i would edge in and it would disapear on me. i hate it. It might be great for some not me.

NIck - Same thing for me behind the 220 as well.

the 220 is a terrible wake i agree. As for him being 15 and not having ridden behind to many boats, by the time I was 15 i had ridden behind super airs, x-stars, x-30s, x-10s, wakesetter vlx, lsv, so it is not fair to say he doesn't know what he is talking about. I haven't ridden a 230 but i have heard that it is the best wake out from all of my friends in orlando

i think 210's are gods gift to wakeboarding have heard nothing but great things about the 230. but the 220 for me is horrible the wake is always washed out on one side and with stock ballast and 7 peeps yesterday it was curling over even at 27mph. the hull is to sensitive. thats for me though the reason theres more than one brand is people have differant tastes.

I really liked the supra GG the best.

but the Mastercraft 205 is my second favorite.

malibu wakesetter lsv
(2) malibu responses
malibu sunsetter
air centurion
epic 23v
(3) mastercraft x-stars
(2) nautique 210's
(3) ski nautiques
sanger v210
tige 21i
Old    wake47            09-01-2008, 2:08 PM Reply
08 wake setter
07 tige
2005-2009 nautiques
but by far the 09 230 is the best, i have a 99 pro air and riding from that to the 230 w as sooo much different because u have to time it so much later cause the wake is massive. plus nautique went above and beyond on all the features they upgraded to this boat. and the graphics, tower and the whole boat are just amazing.

When I was 15...

2 prostar 190s
3 SN 2001
3 Malibu skiers
3 Ski Sangers
4 Ski Centrions
1 Ski Supreme
1 Ski Eliminator (best looking ski boat ever made)
1 barefoot Sanger
1 Ski Ray
half a dozen load jets or flat bottoms
a dozen I/Os

did I mention we were short lining it. Skurfers were still on the same page as knee boards.

Does anyone on here like the 220? becuase granted they apparently had a bad batch of them at one point..... its is one of the best wakes i have ever ridden. I have ridden it with stock and then with 3000+ lbs. it was good both ways... yeah it washes over easy but so did the old 210 and that wake was great.... I would personaly rather deal with have to shift weight around side to side when I ride than have no snap from a flat mellow "clean" wake.
Old     (nsolis220)      Join Date: May 2007       09-01-2008, 9:38 PM Reply
how do u make a bad batch of hull shapes? we were shifting people all over the place we could not get the wake to clean up on both sides. it was like choosing if you wanted to take a set of only heelside or toeside jumps. it sucks when you have to cut through 18 inches of white wash when your trying to get to the top of the wake

I LOVE the 220 wake. Don't care too much for how easily it messes up though.

I'm just curious...was the weight evenly distributed in the 220? Was the hydrogate in wakeboard position? I have a 2006 220 Team and if it's not used properly the wake isn't as great, but when used properly it's hella fun.

yep evenly I'm not a newbie. We dont use the hydro gate usually but ya tried in all positions 1 had the best results. I'm pretty sure the o7 has a differant hull.

Im personally a BU fan...I own one, ha! But I LOVE me a good lookin 210 any day of the week!
Old     (robmcfarland)      Join Date: May 2008       09-02-2008, 1:16 PM Reply
yeah... the hydrogate changes how far the hull sits inthe water (most people know this) but what i dont think some people understand is that we compensate for prop rotation when we weight our boats side to side..... but dont always notice becuase u arnt drasticaly changing the amount the hull sits in the water in a matter of seconds.... with the hydro gate you can do this.... so the prop rotation afects the wakein a different way from position one to three..... you need to weight the boat for the particular setting you are planning on using.

this make sense to any other hydrogate users on here? or am i crazy.

I also loved the 220 wake. Certainly no problem with it washing over. (I know what that's like.)

We have no problem dailing in my 07 220. i use a 100 lbs counterweight.slide it left or right for the first rider and then it is pretty much balanced for the day.. I owned an 02 210 for 5 yrs and I would have to say i like the 220 better..longer and wider with the kick. we run about 80ft around 23 mph

I have ridden behind a 210,211,220, and 230 and and just about any of the other big three all of them have their strong points and weaknesses. Any boat will curl if you don't know how to weight it. 220s like center weight and believe me it is clean 120ft back if you weight it right.

Nate I see you out on Boone all the time and I wouldn't bash the boats you sell why do you bash mine? I don't sell boats, but if I did I wouldn't bash someone elses.

Why don't you come have a pull on my boat. I have it weighted with 1200 extra pounds and it doesn't wash even way back.

Any boat can have a clean wake if weighted properly. Here is my wife riding at 23mph at 65ft.Upload

I ride a 220 all the time, if you are getting a bad washed out wake then you are not loading the boat correctly.I can get a clean wake at 65 to 85 feet, no problem.
As far as the 230 goes, well lets just say its a wonderfully designed boat with a exceptionally great wake.

at what speed? its not my boat if it was i would play more with the weight. i try all the time but my boy is in denial and thinks its great. I finally conviced him to throw a sack in the walk thru that made a differance but not as much as i would like he was like holy shizz thats really booting me.

In comparison i rode on a 05 sante 210 last night stock ballast 5 heads it was clean at 22 mph and was the BEST wake i have ever ridden hands down. I fell in love.

I have ridden behind Chris' boat (actually yesterday lol) and that wake is very nice. That 220 is a good and solid. It is forgiving and you can get a ton of pop off it. Smooth ride and great wake and great drivers makes for a awesome time .
I have ridden behind I/O's and this was the first full inboard and I liked it alot.
