I was just curious what a good price would be for this boat as I have an opportunity to buy one from a guy on my lake. Its a 2004 Color is Red, 252 hours, perfect pass, hard ballast tanks, bimini top, wakeboard racks. 5.7 310 hp engine, double axle trailer, heater, all vinyl on sunpad was redone recently. I have been in the boat and it is in excellent shape.

28,000 is probably about right. What does he want for it?

You can search the googles for Mastercraft X2's. Try onlyinboards, craiglist, CLAZ.org, etc...

you will be in the low 30's most likely...unless the guy just wants to lose his a$$ and needs to get rid of it.

Mike I sold a 2006 X2 with about 270 hours on it for 42k recently. That had an MCX and the new hull vs the one he has for sale with the traditional X1 hull and smaller engine. I would not pay more than 30k for it.

Depending on where your at but in Tampa I have a pretty mint condition 02 X Star and I would not part with it less than 27k and thats with a single axel trailer and the 310. That boat is fine with the 310 however I did re prop when I changed out the ballast system to close to 2500 lbs ballast. Had zero problem with that ballast set up 7 big guys in the boat pulling two wake skaters and one moron on a tube. So hate to say lower 30s probably about right.

I also say low 30's is a good number for it.

I think 35k is for a mint boat that is loaded with a desirable color scheme and the low end would be 27.5 for a well used/high hours moderately loaded one. I think Diggs is right on for that year, color, options, low hours and clean. I would be somewhat interested in why the interior was replaced. That is not very many hours and it could of meant the boat was neglected/abused. Then again, mastercraft had some problems with vinyl somewhere in that time frame and it could of just been bunk interior that didnt' last as long as it should of. Offer 30k. If you get it for that I think you did pretty good. Not an amazing deal but more then a fair deal for you.
