I just landed my first heelside backroll last month. Since then I have landed about a dozen. The key to the landing is to only think about the landing and your body does the rest. land bent kneed way down close tho the water for shock absorbtion and spot the landing early. This happened to me my first few attempts, and the reason you may be slipping out is because you hit the dish on the other wake and it pushes your front foot out infront of you getting you off balance. here is a pic of a success.
