Wow, unreal. Especially to compare that with how high all the lakes on the west coast are now..... in the same year.

Is anyone taking the opportunity to clean up the lake bottoms while there isn't water?

That's what I was thinking. Those docks don't look too deep even when there was water.I have never owned water property, but I would be out with a bobcat digging out my shore so when the water came back It would be a bit deeper.

we took a small john deer tractor with a back hoe to our lake lot. water is about 130 feet away from the normal shore line and the cove is already shallow at about 3-5 feet deep. we dug out from the normal shoreline to where the water is now until we got to the water level which is about 3 feet low. Hopefully when we fill back up it will be 3 feet deep or so and we can bring the boat closer to shore. we are planning to add a pier before it fills back up too.

i know some people on lake houston went out and started cutting stumps. i dont want to cut a stump unless i can get it at the very bottom, other wise you just make more unseen obsitcales as the lake fills back up

Every ramp is now closed on Lake Travis....here are some sobering pics about the state of our water supply in Central Texas. The Highland Lakes are now @ 39% of their capacity.

The very first old cell phones picture is amazing.

Thanks for linking those pics. That was sobering to watch. A little dry dredging isn't a bad idea if you have the money and time.
