SPARK PLUG SOCKETS

Trying to change the plugs on my 94 Malibu with 350 mercruiser engine and it seems like I need some special thin wall socket to access the correctly. The manifold is in the way to seat properly. Any of you had this problem and where did you get the socket you used?

I had a similar problem on an old Corvette Stingray
...before some classic car parts restoration companies made special plug wrenches...
I had a machine shop help me cut and paste a custom wrench

you could try a company called year one
or just ask the 'BU mechanic where he got his
...maybe the local Snap-on guy has one

im not sure about your boat but if you take the rubber insert out of the socket you might be able to get it on there or maybe an open ended wrench or just take the manifolds of and then replace the gaskets

I have a few different variations
Spark plug socket
They are nothing special for that motor.

Seems like the one I have might be bigger because it just won't clear and seat onto the plug. I will try to use a box wrench or something thin to get into the area.
