So I just receved word from my friends dad (who has a house up there) that Lake Berryessa, California is shutting down the lake to the public (meaning no boat launching/wakeboarding) for renivations for the '06 and '07 summers. has anyone heard about this? Please tell me its not true.

Reinvations. What exactly does that mean. And no I havent heard that, But I dont like the sounds of it!

Renivations meaning new launch ramps, stores, docks...everything. maybe even some retaining walls. Anyone with info please step forward

I heard over the summer that there was one marina that was going to do some renovations, but I don't know when or how long it was going to take. It would be hard to believe that they would shut down the lake. Even if the did damn retrofitting it would not shut down the lake. They would loose a ton of income that that area depends on.

This has been in the making for while. I heard that part of the reason was for environmental clean up as well. I know they are cracking down on the people that own trailers in the resorts also.

They ought to just drain that lake. Ha, ha. Never really been a fan of that place, but I guess if you have no choices. Then again...that place is heaven if you've got a jet boat.
