kauai should be the most promising island to find wakeboarding on.
the wailua river is popular for that and where Ryan Siebring used to board if i am not mistaken

Kauai has the Wailua River, and there is a guy who pulls folks right there. It aint cheap. But then again its Hawaii.

I think his name is Kenny. I rode with him in 2004 when I was there for the Tige US open

Honolulu? You will need to find Reid Shimabukuru (SP)

My brother, Reid Shimabukuro, isn't involved so much anymore. Sold his boats years ago and closed RNR surf & ski back in 2003. The only place on Oahu to pay for a pull is at Koko Marina at Hawaii Sports (owner is Cormac O'Carroll). I haven't seen him in years but they use to use ski nautiques. Only drawbacks is that they aren't allowed to use ballast and they have to run in circles. Plus, there's a lot of watersports merchants who use the area so the water gets really rolly.

I hope you have a fun honeymoon anyways. Aloha!

Kauai waterski and surf is awesome! My son and I rode the Wailua river for a hour for 100 bucks!! it was cool! All the tourists take pics of you while you ride, its kinda funny! On Oahu, prob only place to get somewhat good water might be Kaneohe Bay.

Yes, you can ride on the Wailua river on Kauai, but they can't ballast the boats there for merchant towing so the wakes are small. But the experience is awesome. Yan't beat the lush, tropical scenery.

But he's asking for riding on Oahu, and Kaneohe Bay is awesome for riding, but there's no tow services anymore since my brother shut down RNR surf and ski.

Again, unless you know someone personally on the island, your only option is to contact Hawaii Sports at Koko Marina.

I've hooked up riders with pulls from WW in the past, but that's only when I'm actually there on the island, visiting my family at the time.

http://oahuwaterskiclub.com/index.html I saw what looked like an sv211 in the old photos here. I have no idea how you'd go about getting a pull on it though

You have to be a member of Oahu Waterski club, or any of the 3 clubs, or be with a member of the club, to use that site. I'm a member of OWSC and you can only access that area by boat since it's about 1/4 of a mile off shore.

You can send an email on the OWSC's website with your trip dates info and ask for a pull. They tend to email the membership seeing if anyone will be riding during that time. No guarantee's but it's worth a shot.
