I'd liike to learn a batwing with success, but I'm a little unsure what kind of edge, body position and overall steps I should deliver when trying...any advice, ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated...please share!

Have you tried a raley yet? If not, I'd start there. If so, take that same approach, but grab early, or you won't be able to catch your board... So I've been told. I've never landed one, or tried to.

I feel ya Jesse, I cant seem to get the right body position off the wake to keep the board where I can get it back under me. Ive read and understand how to do the trick I just fail to apply it when it comes time to ride and try it. Been working on it for sometime now, and I dont get it. Any pointers from people who have had the same problem would be greatly appreciated.

When I do them, I cut at the wake as hard as I can, and it seems to be a little easier to get it back under you, mostly cause you have more time in the air. I hit the wake on edge and that seems to just naturally throw the board back for some reason. Also, definantly take it way into the flats. I used to try to do them wake to wake and there just isn't enough time. hope this helps

that reason is called line tension. it is the foundation for any raley-type trick. Thiss will not only shoot the board out behind you, but will allow for an "elastic" effect to get the baord safely back under you.
