Boat Repairs and Additions You've Done?

One the weekend as I was finishing the Compound/Polish/Wax that I did along with a few other repairs/minor fixes I started thinking about all of the things that I have done to my boat over the 5 years I have had it. I have always known boat stands for "Bring On Another Thousand" but it really rings true as I compiled a list yesterday. Now, I haven't really included any engine maintenance as that is something that just has to be done on a regular basis but what repairs/additions have you made your boats over the years? My boat is a 2000 MB B-52 DD so it has a few years on it now.

Here's my list....so far

Replaced Winch
Replaced Wheel Jack
Replaced Breaks/Wheel Bearings
Swapped all trailer lights out to LED’s
Broke a leaf. Had repaired and rearc’d to lift trailer 2”
Replaced 3 Carpeted “step” pads on trailer
Added Spare Tire and Mount
Replaced Trailer Bunk Carpet
Replaced/ Relocated Tower speakers with KMT6’s
Rewired Audio through Tower
Rewired Tower Lights, switches, changed 2 lights to face backwards
Added Surf Rack
Added Wakeboard Rack
Relocate 2 Wakeboard Racks
Re-glued rubber on board racks as pealling
Made a bimini for Tower
Installed Monster Tower Mirror
Reupolstered passenger seat and have holes repaired
Custom made booster seat
LED’s in cabin and under swim platform
Replaced Sub Box
Complete Rewire of Stereo
Added WS420 with custom made bracket
Added new JL amp for sub
Replaced Hifinonics amp with 4 channel Kicker
Added 2 channel Clarion for tower speakers
Added 2nd battery
Installed Perko switch and solenoid
Installed 4 Tsunami 1200 gph pumps, hose, and 2 bags
Replaced Stern “white” Nav light socket
Removed “B-52” decals from Hull
Replaced Fuel gauge and sending unit, rewire
Added depth sounder with Air/water temp
Added Swim platform mat
Line X’d Swim platform
Compound/Polish/Wax
Installed ¾” shut off valves at stern to empty ballast faster
Replaced impellers on OEM pumps and rewired
Replaced Strut – bent on holidays when hit prop
Added Bimini for bow
4-50lb steel blocks with Rhino lining for ballast
Re-tap tower threads as cross threaded for collapsing tower
Installed Fresh Air Exhaust
Replaced all heater hoses
Replaced rope in boat cover & hook/loops
Installed bottle opener on tower
Replaced bow light bulb and larger screws as stripped
Removed Ski Pole

Oh man the list is long my boat is an 08 that I bought new in may of 09 I have installed Malibu silent rider exhaust tips,underwater LED'S,switch blade wake enhancer,custom ballast with reversible pumps and custom sacks,stainless cup holders,wind dam kit,LED cup holder and speaker rings,depth sounder,shower,added a compass to the dash to fill the last empty hole,stargazer upgrade,prop upgrade,PSS shaft seal system,oil filter relocator kit,added dual group 27's with a selector switch and pro mariner onboard charger,docking lites,custom LED tower lites,tower mounted mirror,two sets of Samson racks.and am now on my third stereo system which now consists of a pair of pro 485's powered by an arc 300.4 six bullet hollow point interior speakers powered by a arc 300.4 a 12 inch sub in a ported box powered by an arc 1000.1 with a Sony head unit and a wetsounds 420 EQ.Also I am waiting on my custom seadek swim pad which should be here any day.I might have missed a couple things but I think that about covers most of it.

oh and i forgot I had the windshield tinted with 35%

Hell of a list Dave.
I bought my boat well under book knowing it need some TLC. 2003 Tige 22v riders edition
1. Wetsand/compound/wax entire boat
2. Repalce 4 ballast pumps that were bad when I got it...then the other 4 since then..so all new ballast pumps.
3. fuel pump
4 .water pump
5 .Complete interior..all new hinges.all new hatch struts
6 .3 sets wetsounds xs650's inboats, 1 WS Fa10sub,1 pair WS Rev 8's tower. 3 clarion apx480m amps, clarion CDM 5 and 2 new remotes.
7. Trailer lights and harness
8. All trailer bunk wood,carpet and hardware.
9. Tach gauge sent out and repaired
10. Volt gauge sent out and repaired
11. New prop strut
12. New prop shaft coupler
13. New boat cover
14. Added a glove box lid support spring
15. Had a few small spider cracks fixed
16. 4 trailer tires
16. 2 new batteries
17. Added on board battery charger
18.Polished all grab hanldes and harware while it was off for interior replacement and wetsand/buff
19. Tower mirror

Things for next off season
1. Rhino Line deck and install a foam pad
2. Wetsounds amps and a Rev 485( I hope they make it!)
3. FAE Exhaust System
4. Add more front ballast.
5. New ballast switche covers..cant read them anymore.

I have an 07 and have quite a list as well. I think it's just part of owning something that you use all the time, that also gives you so much in return.
