So yesterday I tweaked my knee pretty good. As soon as I got in the boat, and since then, I've been keeping it up and icing it quite a bit. I'm trying to figure out what the specific injury is and how to be back on the water as soon as possible (I have birthday plans for the river next weekend, and I'm going on vacation to the Delta right afterward). I think I sprained my MCL, and may have gotten my meniscus, ACL, or PCL a little bit too. It never really swelled up at all. I can walk, but if I move my knee inward it hurts pretty bad. Has anyone else had a spain similar to this? Should I get it checked out even though I don't think it's super bad?(probably just tell me to stop wakeboarding for a few weeks) On the other hand, if I did really tear something, how will I know? How fast can I recover? (is next weekend realistic?)

Have it checked ASAP. The problem with knees is it's a viscious cycle. You injure, it swelss, the swelling causes interference with movement, more swelling, etc. Does it pop/grind when you go through your range of motion? My right knee is pretty trashed & I am constantly battling with it. I ride with my CTI brac now and that seems to help it stay in a safe range of motion. Keep up the icing & maybe get a neoprene brace for riding just to keep it tight?..........

I don't think it really pops or grinds. Then again, I just injured it yesterday so I'm not about to force it too hard through its ROM...still pretty sore.

get it checked out . . . a machine is the only thing that can really tell you what is wrong with it for sure

Every now and then I tweak my knee and it hurts just like your sayin. I go to see my brother in law who is a chiropractor and he uses a combination of a lazer and a ultra sound on the area and 2 days later I am back 100 percent and riding hard again

that happened to me 2 weeks ago. i went to the E.R. and they gave me a straight leg brace and said it should be better in a 7-10 days. it still hurts though and i'm going to the doctor and might get an mri soon. just keep icing it, and no, next weekend isn't realistic... what ever you do, try not to walk on it at all.
