This was in my spam folder this morning.

A friend of mine had a fauxlex a while back - not sure if it died or kept good time, etc.

Was thinking of getting one as a gag gift. Anybody have one of these or similar?

Had a ten dollar Oyster years and years ago, Timex movement kept better time than a real one but you could spot it was a fake with just a quick glance at the sweep hand. My father in law was impressed....... heh heh..

I can't see spending $200 on a fake of anything when you can get a nice Nixon for about the same. Just my personal thought. I'm thinking that if you're gonna go fake, then go really fake. My parents brought back some $20 fakers from Thailand about 10 years ago. Gold flaked off and they had crappy movement. That's how you do a proper gag gift.
