I was wondering if anyone had some wake pictures of a 87-89 martinique, or what they thought of this for a wake boat. Seems it could have some potential. Is there any similarity between it and a 2001 hull? I have been looking at 2001s pretty hard but would enjoy the space of the martinique.

Google it. Looks like CC's answer to the cuddy cabins.
There is a shot of the wake here.

They were made in both open and closed bow. I rode behind one when I first started wakeboarding and thought it was great (although I was used to an I/O). It is a big boat with a deeper v type hull. The one I was in had an open bow with a lot of room. The wake with no weight is pretty big. I am guessing that with a lot of weight, you could make a huge wake.

Wake is harder to shape in this boat. I have a buddy that has rebuilt a Martinique from the the ground up. The 'V' runs farther back on the hull and doesn't give as good of a wake as the SN2001. That said, it is still better than an I/O.

One other thing to keep in mind is that the side walls are MUCH thinner in construction than the Ski Nautiques. This isn't necessarily bad, but just goes to show that the hull was built for a different purpose and may not be as solid as the SN2001.
