I just got a ronix DHV1 and on the description it said that there was a flex to it. Just want to know how much flex and how it affects how the board rides. Also just any comments about the board or the regular ronix one, I'm pumped to ride it when it gets here and want to know what to expect... Thanks Tom

i thought they were originally designed to be lighter and stiffer. its funny how companies were always striving for a stiffer board but now they've gone the opposite direction

Well i think what its saying is that its stiffer because it goes back to its original shape faster, so it flexes but bounces back faster. This is what i'm trying to find out...

joe, so what you are saying is that all wakeboards flex, and the DHV1 is no different, this one is just meant to snap back better. Thats what i was trying to say...

No, just that marketing a board with flex is correct but perhaps misleading. Every board has flex. Some are stiff and some are soft. You said "I just got a ronix DHV1 and on the description it said that there was a flex to it." Their description is correct, it has a very stiff flex.

Gold Star for Gangstar. I have a CSV1. I picked it because it is a rock.

And with the CSV1 what are the benefits to riding a "rock". How does it ride different to the regular core.

Tom, honestly by your questions, I don't think the "flex" of the board is going to make any difference. Just go out and ride and enjoy the board.

Generally speaking, a stiffer board still bends, but it snaps back with more intensity and consistency. You will be very happy with your V1, especially if you got an end of the season deal on it. Out of the box, it probably won't be magical, but you will feel the difference. The PVC core is lighter and stiffer than the regular core. The most obvious difference you will experiences is that a PVC core never "breaks in" it will be as snappy after 100 rides as it was for the first.

Yeah, my 07 covin was starting to bore me, I needed something snappier and poppier (3-stage) after riding my buddy's 08 watson.

$250 (free shipping), from an ebay store. Prompt shipping and no problems at all with it. If you want one I recommend that place. Just search ronix DHV1 on ebay. They have them in both 137 and 142
