So I am still looking for a wakeboat and ran across a couple that are carburated. How do these compare up to the EFI. Starting, Reliability, and Performance. I just worry, because if I am about to dump $25-$30k on a boat I want it to be reliable.

I have a carburated nautique with 1300 hours. No problems starting yet.

No problems, just have to be a little more mechanically inclined when it comes to starting it occasionally. Might have to open throttle, or close it off, or play with the choke. Kind of like in the movies from the 80'w where they pump the accelerator to get the car fired up.

If you plan on using your boat 3,000ft above sea level or more, then it's a no brainer, get the EFI. If not, then there is not much advantage.
