I got in to Lynn University in Florida!!!!! WoooooooooOOOOoohhhooOOOOOO!!!!!! Wakeboarding and wakeskating several times a week! omg! I can't believe it!!! I'm not going to have to explain wakeboarding to EVERY single person, don't get me wrong, I luv spreading the word and the stoke and I think the entire UMF campus now knows what wakeboarding is, but its nice to be able to talk with people about it and ride and stuff, you guys prolly know what I'm talking about. But I am soooooooooooo pumped!!!

Thanx Kristian, I know its crazy out there right now, I came home from UMF last night and we had no snow on the ground, woke up with like an inch or two and its still going, I guess this storm supposed to be a big one. The waves are supposed to get up to 15-20 feet tomorrow! I hope the roads are good enuff to drive cause I wanna surf, and if dad doesn't let me, I at least want some pics!

You'll be happy when you make it to FL - although it's a chilly 60 degrees here right this minute(coldfront came through), it's back up in the high 70s by Tuesday.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but is choosing a school based on its proximity to wakeboarding a good idea? I'm just sayin'...

Qucik question.. once your in school, you say you'll be boarding all the time... Do you have a hook up? school boat? you own? how do you know you will be going all the time, or are you just hoping?

I think Brandon Thomas might go to there but I could be wrong.

Yeah, I don't have a boat or anything but I'm hoping to ride at Rixen a lot. Lynn is only 15 min. away from ski rixen (cable park) That would be awesome if Brandon went there! I'm not gonna have a car so I'm hoping to meet some people that ride so I can get a ride to the park. worse comes to worse I get a taxi or something, where there's a will there's a way! For more info on Lynn U. you can check out http://www.lynn.edu The campus is beautiful, and they have an awesome communications/film program. I can't wait! Just a short month away! Man, I gotta get some snowboarding in before i leave!

Oh yeah, Lynn is in Boca Raton, just 15 min away from Deerfield Beach

I considered choosing my college based on its proximity to the mountains and then I came to my senses and realized that I would have flunked out because I probably would have skipped class way to much to go skiing!
Remember to get your education out of the way and that paves the way for a good job that you can bail on early during nice weather days to hit the lake! Plus more $$$ for boats, gear, beer, etc! You get the idea!

Coming from a college grad, this is good advice!

Go Wildcats!

Congratulations Bess!! You are going to have so much fun and if you ever want to ride on the East Coast, let me know. I can come pick you up or meet you somewhere for a day.

Lisa

Thanx Lisa! That would be awesome! Thanx for all the feedback guys, KState that is a very good point, I'm looking at this as an opportunity to find a balance between my studies and riding, it wont be easy, but thats what life's all about!
