These questions I know have been asked before, but I want to refresh myself on this. We are currently looking to purchase a boat and these are our finally narrowed down choices..

2002 MC Xstar with all options 330hp
2003 Malibu Wakesetter all options/wedge 344hp
2001 Super Air 210 all options hp?
2004 MC X2 with all options 350hp

There are 3 Xstars,2 wakesetters,1 super air,and 2 X2's. All have about the same hrs around 300,except the 2 X2's they have under or around 100hrs and the price for the X2's is around 3 to 4,000 more. We are very familiar with Mastercraft for wake and overall boat, don't know anything about the Super Air or Wakesetter though and that's why I'm asking, how do they compare and we do have very young kids that wakeboard/compete and family members go to watch so the crew is usually 6 or more. We were also looking at Supra, just unable to find something nice and reasonable.
Thanks for all your input!

04 X-2 gets my vote.

find out what motor the SAN has. if it has the PCM find out if the guages have been replaced. if they have, the ECM was reset and there's no way to know with 100% certainty how many hours are on it. you have to take the owners word for it.

I own an 07 Supra for reference.

Bruce, I got a hold of the owner and the hours are correct, upper 300's which he did change the guages but kept track of the hrs. Engine is the 5.8L 330h.p. from what I was just told.

Thanks for your help Bruce.

Also the 210 was run in salt water for 1 season (2003),due to that they installed new starter, alternator, exhaust gaskets, steering cable, and misc items to avoid any problems.

Tough call between the VLX and X2
I'll rock either one, let me know when we're picking it up!

We used to live down at Beaver Lake, and recently moved up by Lincoln. We will be going to Pawnee,Oak,or Fremont. Ive talked to you before down at Nebraska Watersports awhile back. How's Nick doing over at Wake N Skate? Haven't talked to him since last years boat show. I know Shawn,Josh,Kyle, and a few others from Beaver
Lake. Good people.

You will be one of the first to know Darrin, but it will be a few weeks yet on a choice though.

NICE!

Nick is doing well, he decided to move the shop (again) back to its original shopping center at the "shops of legacy" over off 168th and center.

Sounds like you're making a great decision on a new boat (whatever one you decide) - be sure to stop into WNS and pick up some new gear with that baby!

Yes, will have to stop in. I heard that he was moving back to that location but was not sure when. I take it he will be down at the boat show this weekend?

Yea, new store is open for business as we speak...definitley go check if out if you're in the area..

Not sure if he's planning on going to the boat show, I am leaning on the 'no' side, as he's still getting everything settled into the new store, but who knows - he tends to do things spur of the moment, which is not always a good thing!

Will do, I purchased a few boards and bindings from him in the past, and my son got a ton of stickers from him, was pretty cool of Nick.
