Okay! I have narrowed it down to a few boats. I am looking at a 2006 x1 25,000, 2004 Centurion Avalanche C4 29,995 and a 2003 SAN 210 for 31,500. What do you think is the best boat and deal? Thanks so much again!

Robert, what percentage will you be using the boat for different activities?(wakeboarding, skiing, surfing, cruising, partying) Does the lake you boat on get really rough? That is a really great price on the X1 if it is in good shape. The other 2 boats might be priced a tad high in my opinion. This is assuming all are in good shape and have similar options. The X1 and the SAN are core wakeboard boats and the Avy is a better all around family boat, surf boat and rough water boat.

We would most likely be wakeboarding and do a little wakesurfing and occasionally partying.

X1 based on price.

I'm biased, but I would recommend the SAN. Great wake, boat, and solid construction. Also, the X1 would be nice (depending on your wake preference).

The only downside I would say to getting the Centurion would be the re-sale and brand image. You just don't see that many of them out on the water.

If price is key, what Shaun said. best deal of the 3 . If wake quality is your priority for wakeboarding and price is not an issue, San 210 then X1. The Avy will be the best wakesurf/party boat as it is bigger and you can coax a pretty good wakeboard wake out of it.

Condition of all boats being equal, I personally would buy the X1. Good luck with your decision

The Avy is priced way too high!!!! You can buy a brand 2009 for $ 36,995. All those boats are great. The X1 is a great ride and the Avy puts out a fantastic wakeboarding wake.

A lot of X1's were ordered really stripped down. If the X1 is really stripped down or in bad shape I would go SAN all the way. The boat requires a lot less weight to get a great wake, is built like a tank and should have have a lot of options on it, especially if it is a team edition. I think I would try and get the SAN for 30k if I could.

Options and hours key on the x1 and San choice. If it's set the same three ballast tanks cruise ect then x1. People will argue 210 wake vs x1 205v all day it's personal rampy vs steep. Both are awesome and favorite of many riders definitely the two fav wakes of all time. However both small inside I own the x1 hull. The avy is spacious and has a nice wake as well and will out surf both of them.

Size wise the X1 and SAN will be close, the avalance will be bigger. Wake goes as everyone has said, rampy vs steep. I prefer a steep wake, but I like rampy ones as well. I have an 08 Super Air and love it, but it is a little bigger than the 03. The X1 seems to be priced the best, but I guess that does depend on condition and options as well. Think about resale too, both the MC and CC will be far better than the Centurion in the long run, not to mention they will hold up (fit and finish) longer too.

You can get a brand new '09 Sanger V210 for around 37-ish I thought also, so at 30k the Centurion is a huge NO. (and at 37 for a new Centurion, I'd say NO also vs the Sangers)

Pretty much everything else said I would agree with also.

Here you go...

Wes,
I disagree, I have been behind all 3 boats and while my personal preference of the 3 is San then X1, the Avy can produce a pretty good wake plus it will have the better surf wake of the 3. The size of the avy plus the surf wake is what keeps this boat in the running....it can't compete based on just wakeboard wake

Yeah wes compared to the other two maybe not as good and feniky but it throws a good peaky wake I would compare it more to the San than the mc. Curious about the dealers in your area that might be a good judge.

I have an Avy and that's priced too high even if it's loaded with a switchblade.

I'd go with the X1 and make it to your liking that you'd probably do to any boat anyways.

Assuming condition and options are roughly similar, the X1 is by far the best value. I would pick that if they were all the same price and since it is $5-6K less it is a no brainer. I own a Centurion too.

I paid that for my 2002 X Star. Same hull but older tower and I have the rtp engine as well. The X1 all day at that price if the size is fine for you. Oh and switch out the hard tanks for bags you gain space when not riding and adds weight.
