it makes all the screws and bolts on your board and boat rust...if you go make sure to wash off everything with freshwater after..but i wouldnt recomend it.

Salt water is more dense than fresh water its a little trip. The boat wont sit as deep in the water, thus your wake wont be as big. On the plus the wake is super stiff and has good pop. Second since the water is more dense, you will sit higher on the water making your boad a little looser, if you have a good foundation, and use your edges you should be fine. Its fun to ride in the salt a few times, but I wouldnt personally make a carrer out of it.

Kevin,

I grew up wakeboarding on salt water. I recomend buying "Salt Away."

This stuff saved my boat, just make sure you use it everytime your boat leaves the water. Flush the engine and spay down the entire boat (engine included). If you do this you should not have any problems.

Get a closed cooling system installed. Spray engine with WD-40 or similar after the wash-down. Salt-away....absolutely. Also spray trailer with it after launching. If you dont have a galvanized trailer, get ready to buy one soon.

Kyle - have you found that spraying the engine with salt-away has kept the rust down much?

Salt Away should be your best friend.
