Hey, I am looking into buying an 00 or 01 used belmont. I wasnt sure if they are the exact same as the 03 motives. If they are, I probably wont get a belmont. If you all could give me the info or what I should do, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Jordan

They are the same. What size 01 are you looking for? I have a 128 that I would be willing to sell.

ahhhhh... im sorry, i was looking for a 134, i think i am too big for a 128 or i would grow out of it too quickly. Would it make a difference on the water if you had a 00 or 01 belmont or a 03 motive? thanks for the reply!

No it would not make one bit of difference. I have ridden them both and no difference. And good call on the bigger board. I just went to a 135.

01 Belmont and 03 motive are different... I think. What does the motive look like. The 01 Belmont has two molded fins and a center fin. The motive doesn't have molded fins does it?

yes it does, it is the old belmont. The belmont changed in 2002. The old belmont became the motive that year. And yes it does have molded in fins.

I've got an '00 Belmont 134 in good shape. It's the one with the mask on the top. It's $125 plus shipping. I'll throw in 30/60 bindings from the same year for a total of $175 plus shipping. Let me know if you're interested.

Yes the Motive's have molded in fins, I just got a brand new one from Hyperlite, they said it is the EXACT same mold as the 01 Belmont.

how is the 2000 belmont different than the 03 motive? is the 00 belmont still a good board?

Hey Jordan. Just some FYI on the Motive. I have the 03' Motive and it has a continous rocker(from front to back it is completly curved, no flat center), four(4) .4" molded in fins(two in front, two in rear(plus comes with 2, 1.7" Maruca fins you can add with attached hardware). It is a Boilite core(all hard Foam).

Your weight is the factor in what board is right for you. This board is designed for some between roughly 100-170lbs. I got the board and binds together for $500.

Good board. lands very soft for jumping the wake. I also bought the 03' Splits that are very comfortable on the feet. Good Luck!
