Decided to start new thread to discuss ball valves. I know that all bronze thru hull fittings are straight thread. Does anyone know of an inline bronze ball valve that is also NPS thread? I know alot of people are not using seacocks for thruhulls and was wondering how they addressed the thread mismatch if there is no ball valves with NPS.

Thanks
Bill

I sell a decent amount of ball valves. Isnt there a way to adapt to NPT threads from whatever fitting your using?

That s my exact question...

What is everyone using when connecting a thru hull to a ball valve?

The link in my other thread may work, but I think the NPS threads are on the male end and the NPT threads are on the female, exact opposite of what we need given that the NPS threads are on the thru hull and the NPT threads are on the ball valve.

I was reading that other post last night. Did you see the adapter somebody found??? I would try to adapt or else check out some mnfg websites. Im sure you could get what your looking for with a little research. Check out Watts, Nibco, Apollo etc...

The adapter has the NPS and NPT threads on the wrong ends, but I contacted the guy that makes them and he said he can make some to fit applications like ours. Female NPS on one end to thread onto the thru hull and male NPT on the other end to thread on a ball valve. Waiting to hear back on price. Anyone else interested in a fitting like this? It would be bronze.
