Just curious what might be the best solution for taking off hardened water spots off my boat. Any secret recipes?

Quick Clean Marine by Meguires works good. I also found out by chance that it works good when diluted too. Dilute by at least 50% water and maybe a little more. That is good because it runs about $7.00 a bottle.

Be aware that vinegar will remove your wax job after about 4 or 5 wipedowns.

I just used the 50% water and 50% vinger after a week at Mead and it worked great, I also followed up with a complete Wax job. Does anyone know of anything that works as good that doesn't strip the wax?

Get your boat TEFLON coated and you won't have to worry about waxing for at least 5 years. The shop were I had mine done at gave me a written 6 year guarantee of no waxing.

My boat is TEFLON coated and hard water spots just wipe right off using 50/50 vinegar/water. The boat looks like it was taken off the showroom floor.

www.techformula.net

I have seen 3 boats that have been TEFLON coated in the past year and they all look showroom without waxing.

I've used the Mcguires' Quick Clean also. It works well and isn't supposed to remove your wax.

I used to detail boats during the summers and the best thing I found was:

For after the lake use the vinegar as above.

For tough spots or washing at home use Eliminate tub and tile cleaner from Home Depot. Get the boat wet then use Eliminate (wet rag not sponge), Then wash with soap and water. Works every time.
