Antivirus Question - Non-Wakeboarding Discussion

It's about time for me to either renew my Norton subscription, or find something better . I remember reading a thread on here about antivirus protection, and how most were saying that Norton sucks.

What is everyone else using for the antivirus software?

I use Microsoft's Security Essentials (http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/?mkt=en-us) and have had great luck with it since my kids love to be on Facebook, Myspace, youtube, and just about every flash game site imaginable. The AV has caught every issue without problems.

And, it's free.

i prefer avast.. when i got it, it was one of the best rated. i think its still up there but not the top rated

2nd Avast! works great for home pc's. I've been using the free version for some time with 0 problems.

Wow, good that this thread was posted, ANYone know how to get rid of Antivirus8? I dont know how it got on my comp but its here and its a pain in the ass. What removes this? Any suggestions?

Malwarebytes removed my Antivirus 8.

ok, downloaded that, scanned and it came back 113 objects infected, I removed them but its still there, any suggestions?

Avast as worked great for me.
