I have just learned to get up and ride the board. Now I'd like to learn some tricks and what not. Any ideas on where I should begin? Thanks

surface tricks would be first ,switch riding next and 1 wake jumps after that.

take the fins off and try surface 180's and ride switch
Learn how to ollie and work on edging away form the wake both heelside and toeside with good body position and a stong edge (this will help you get good consistent wake jumps down the road)

Most importantly have fun!

Good body position is incredibly important. I have been only riding for a month now, but after watching the Detention video I focused on proper position and the riding became much easier.

I ride mostly with people that are new to wakeboarding, and right away they are going out trying to land wake to wake jumps. They end up crashing more than anything. I think a foundation based on good riding position will allow you to be more comfortable on the water, and cut down on those crashes when you try jumping. Surface tricks are a great way to build that foundation.
