Rusty wins Wakestock!

Mannn, what a weekend. Rusty pulled it off on the home turf and won the Pro Expression. His runs were so clean, and nobody seems to go bigger than Rusty. Cool guy too, as a few of us were chatting with him and Kevin Henshaw for a bit Saturday night at Montana's in downtown T.O.

A few others rode especially well. Henshaw rode strong, and both Rathy and Rattray showed no rookie intimidation. Shane looked good on the rails, as always.

Funny moment at the very end of the day. Danny Harf went out to try and land a 1080 off the D-Up, and right as the new VLX was coming around to set the D-Up, the tow ball broke off the Illusion tower. Bit of a letdown for sure. I thought we might actually get to see one in person.

Anyway, great weekend. Lots of pics to come. The new Long Pond venue in Toronto was sick too. Anyone else catch the action?

i'm glad to hear rusty won it! he rode so well in Reno and in practice for x! but he didn't ride well in the perlims, which cost him a shot at a medal...The guy goes way big and has a ton of style....he's one of my favorite riders right now...

I have lots of pic from the digital camera. They are not Ant Bug quality photo's but I will post them all here. Maybe even a few of the bikini contest. I have to download them and go through them all sometime today or tomorrow. yeah Rusty killed it yesterday and I was also looking forward to Harf's 1080 attempt of the d-up but like Mike said, the ball broke at the tow point.

Ok now I have got a little of my second wind....for anyone who has a chance to catch this event in Toronto next year, come check it out....it's incredible. And for all you riders south of the border....don't worry, your dollar will buy you more here anyways....beers, hotels, beers, beers, some pizza....just the stuff you need to get by.

Wakestock was GREAT!!!! I got to meet most of the pros and hang out with them: Rusty, Grubb, Adkinson, Harf, Bonifays, Hansen, Bret, Weatherall, Sharpe, and more. The Parties were crazzy every night. Harf even bought me and my buddies drinks. To bad Adkinson did not ride on Saterday! Anyone know why? All I heard was that he had a "incident".
Rusty killed it. I did not realize how much style that guy has until this weekend. He seems to land everything blind!!
Parks showed off a new trick which was called the "hop-scotch"
Best wake venue hands down!!! Can not wait till next year.

Is that the thing he doesn in almost ever video section where he does a bunny hop half cab while edging into the wake, then a ts 360 over the wake landing wrapped, then unwraps on the landing doing a wrapped 360. When he does it, he looks like he is hop scotching...
