I WAS THINKING ABOUT BUYING A NEW BOARD. THE SETUP I HAVE NOW SEEMS HEAVY.(04 PREMIER 05 SPHYNX) WHAT IS THE LIGHTEST 3 STAGE BOARD?

spend the $25 a month to join a gym...it will do more than just make your setup lighter.

I've heard the Ronix boards are very light.

Lightest board I have seen was 3.8lbs (almost half ronix weight. Goode: back in 1997 or so.

Get a Platinum board from CWB, either an Absolute(similar to your Premier) or a Transcend. They are much lighter than your board. I will say the weight will have very little impact on your riding.

The Ronix Coven seemed really heavy to me. But the one is really light. Also, the CWB platinums are under 7 lbs.

I just got the 07 watson setup and it is one of the lightest setups i have seen. I heard the shane is alittle lighter because it is not as thick as the watson.

any LF board is pretty light, ronix are really light too. slingshots are also really light!

I have the 07 shane and my buddie has the Ronix One and it's way lighter, I would get the One if your going light.

The LF boards and Ronix One are light, but they will trade off durability for that weight reduction. Hyperlite pro model boards are heavy, but they are also some of the most durable boards on the market. So it depends what you are looking for, there is always a tradeoff.

The board with no bindings on it.

Sam may be a douchebag, I wouldn't know, but I think that he is right! Little gym time will do more than anything. And you will be lighter off the water too.

the new sling shots are so light i was riding a liquid force shane and this is even lighter and holds up on rails better than the shane

Sam = 100% correct. Listen, if you are truly concerned about the weight of your setup that either means:

a. you don't wakeboard enough.
b. you are weak.
c. you are a one-upper (which probably also means you are an "a")
d. all of the above

Remember, your wakeboard is not self-conscious about how much it weighs... you are.

Ditto the Slingshot Recoil. Very light and lands sooooo soft. I'm loving this board more and more with every set.

Liquid force makes veryyy heavy full set ups, their bindings will make anything 20lbs heavier!!! [sorry for the exaggerating but my '06 watsons were sooooo heavy!]

The Watsons bindings do hold a lot of water in the neoprene liner, but so do all of the other new comfy bindings. This includes all the LF, Hyperlite, and Ronix closed toe models. And yes, I know the Watson open toe model gets heavy when wet too. So what?! The question was about boards, not binders.
