how is riding the parks finless? I've just bought the board and haven't had the chance to get out yet..good choice to buy?

i bought a parks this year. it takes some time to get familiar with it. but once i figured it out i am really starting to like it. this is the first board i have ridden with the 3 stage rocker. the first time out i wondered if i had made a mistake...i don't have a good chance to ever demo any boards. be patient, the parks makes you concentrate on technique...i think that if you stick with it you will find that its all worth it.

oh, and i ride it with the fins. they are pretty sharp and after reading some comments about gashing fingers i think i might switch to some plastic fins.

Parks will make you a better rider - you have to have good technique to get anything out of it so it makes you get better. I dont think it would ride well at all without fins tho - put 1.1 or smaller in as they have loads of hold if they are any bigger.

Josh Storrer rides the Parks finless, but he's the man. Unless you do 9's like he does it may be a bit on the loose side. I really like the board with the .7's. The 1.1's are ok and the 1.3's are way too much.
