Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone out there could take a few pictures of the Aluminum manifold that the Intake from the Thru-hull scoop feeds into to supply water to the 3 pumps in your system?
My email address is b_jago@hotmail.com or you could just post them here. That might be better anyway. Someone else might benefit as well.

I have been able to take a pretty close look at the MC ballast system in a friends 2002 X-star (Thanks Jerry!) but I wasn't able to get a good look at the manifold. In his boat the manifold is located on the bottom of the hull in the engine compartment in the Rear left, but you should be able to follow the intake line to wherever the manifold is installed. Although, I figure they are all installed the same. I'm probably going to try and make my own, so I would like to be able to see where the holes are located.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

-Bo

This would be interesting to see! Is MC using one pump to fill and empty each ballast?

In my X-star there's six pumps. Two per ballast tank/bag. One fills the other empties.

DC,

Starting in 2002 MC started using reversible pumps. 1 pump per tank/bag for a total of only 3 pumps.

Thanks Rene and Bo!

How does MC have the hoses setup to fill and drain using only one pump? I know water comes in through a thru-hull scoop, but it drains through an above water line thru-hull on the sides.

I am trying to get some info on what would be the best pump to get. I was wanting to just use one pump so I need a reversible pump. and where could I by a pump. It's going to be filling three sacks. Thanks
