Sanger V230!!! I love it!

-What amount of weight are you Sanger owners using to create that massive wake?

-And where to create that sweet shape?

-How bout that wake plate, up/down/mid?

preferably v230 owners...

Congrats on the boat. Welcome to the family. Most of us have added weight to the nose to get the wakes we have. I think the V230 needs about 500# plus the stock triple ballast and you should be golden. The good thing is the more weight you add the better it gets. I don't think I have seen TOO much weight added to a Sanger ever. Good luck!

most people seem to be running their plates in the up to mid range.. i rode behind dougs v230 a couple weeks ago with full factory ballast and a 500 pound sack in the nose and i couldnt believe how nice the wake was.. there is a few pics of his wake in the sauaage fest thread..

I remember a post a while back, somebody posted picks of a V230 wake with an extra 1500 pounds in it. Wake looked real good. Couldnt tell ya where they put it tho..

That was my V230. We had the stock ballast, plus and additional 250 on each side of the motor, 500 in the bow, and 500 in front of the back seat. The wake was great. After running it with the stock plus the bow weight, I liked it equally as well, I am buying 400 pounds of pop bags for this summer.

1st, thank you very much for the info. It is much appreciated.

"250 on each side of the motor", is that weight part of the stock ballast (wake series package 2) or 2 fat sacks you guys put in the rear storage compartments next to motor (left and right)???

Because if those 250 pounders (two of them) are in also in the back, does mean you have 500 lbs in each rear compartment?

Also, "500 in front of the back seat", does mean down on the floor in front of the ski pylon?

250 each side plus stock tanks, and on the floor. But try it with the stock (triple ballast) full and then add 400-500 in the bow and see how you like it.

Charlie,

Stock 4 blade OJ prop., slow to plane but it gets there. I don't run this way often so so far no need to re prop.

The better riders on my boat (not me) ride at a total of 75' at 21-22 mph.
