hey headed out to orlando on the 31st and never been to OWC checked their sites and all looks awesome but I know alot of people on here have been there so any advice would be much appreciated. My big question do they make you pay and then have to go through like a instructional on how to ride cable, given a quick instruction would be nice but ive ridden enough to feel comfortable out there and do they let you hit sliders if youve never been. Dont feel like riding in circles.

no instructional, just buy your pass and go do whatever you want. The people on the dock will give you some tips about the cable and sliders.

I'm sure I'll be there.

Now that I wakeboard behind my boat alot i forgot how sore your arms get from the cable from getting slingshotted around the turns.

I did the all day package with three 1/2 hour lessons behind the boat. Dave gave me a little intro on the cable before hand and it was really nice. Yes, I was real sore the next day.

I was down there last year in May. The one pointer I learned real quick was to have your board turned before the rope goes around the corner because it has some pretty good pull on the arms and if your not ready you will right over the nose of the board. Also keep your arms bent a bit.

Pay your money and have fun. Not really a lot of restrictions. Bring a helmet if you have one. Hopefully I'll be out there on the weekend. Planning on renting equipment or bringing your own? Molded fins work the best and a beater board is better than a pristine one if you're worried about scratched and damage on the sliders. No metal fins on sliders.

get there early, when they open, or enjoy waiting

Hey thx ya i ride the shane and the one i got is trashed already so i dont mind. I want to go maybe monday early its gota be slower then (i hope) but hey has anyone had any trouble with flying and bringing their boards. Im flyin outta california and who knows. I def see the posibility of mine and my gf boards magically disappearing in luggage.

You might find yourself magically charged lots of money. Check the luggage rules for your airline. The wait is not usually too bad. It's a lot faster than waiting your turn on a boat.

when we fly with the kids we would have them take the stroller right at the door to the plane and we would just get it right at he door when we got there they give you a little red tag to put on it so it goes under at the last min and is the 1st thing they bring out just ask at the desk, almost like a carry on but they take it from you at the door

^^^
I won't try that with a board.

When you check in don't use the word "Board". It's a dirty word to the airlines and that will cost you an extra $50.

They are trick skis.

^^^^Shredhead is absolutely right, don't say the word "board" Not surfboard nor snowboard. As stated above, best using "skis" for sure. We have never completely lost a board. Just was delayed one time in Chicago, but got it back. Don't worry and have fun!
