Just got a new pair of 09 Ronix One bindings. Has anyone molded a pair or know how to without the use of a machine.

I've heard it can be done with a hairdryer BUT with $400 invested, isn't it smarter to take them in and do it right?

I molded a pair I had. Just get a hair dryer and place on low. Heat binding for 5-10 minutes then immediately place on and stand for ~5 minutes. Hope this helps.

just wear them and they will mold naturally over time.

yea, I took my 08 Ones and ran them in the tub with the water temp all the way up, let em cool a bit (so they dont burn your feet) and popped my feet in there. They molded extremely well.

The tub is exactly what I did. Worked extremely well

Or just ride them and break em in that way? It took me about 4-6 sets to get the same effect as heat molding.

are you taking the sock out or just putting the whole boot in the tub

you gotta put the entire thing in so when you put your foot in you can cinch them up to mold to your foot.

it's just marketing. don't worry about it. you think danny harf heat molds his bindings? you won't be thinking about whether or not your bindings have been properly heat molded when you're edging into the wake.
