Fellas with PCM Cats, you guys having any issues with them? Over heating, mechanical, anything at all? Thanks.

Thinking about getting an '09, but it has a CAT. I have no experience with them because I live in AZ. AZ doesn't require them. Just wanted to get some input before my decision. Thanks.

On the PN discussion board I have seen at least one incident of overheating due to the cats. Even melting stuff inside the motor area due to the extreme heat generated. If you don't need them I would avoid the cats.

We have 70 hours on our '09 EX-343 CAT with no issues. For surfing they are great. There is no noticeable exhaust smell at all. However, the single exhaust port just looks funny when the boat is on the trailer (this might be builder specific).

I have an Indmar with cats not a PCM, but I have over 260 hours without a single problem. Like Brennan mentioned There is no noticeable exhaust smell at all.
