One of my favorites is Time Stands Still by the All American Rejects. Just reminds me of being on vacation, jacked X-Star, 7 mile long lake that is butter all day... Just wish it was warmer than 20 degrees right now...

Red Hot Chili Peppers.... "Snow" is always a hit...
"Midnight Rider" by The Allman Brothers
Citizen Cope is amazing, and great band/artist to chillax to or some songs even ride to... "Comin' Back" or "Sun's Gonna Rise" would probably be ones the I'd ride to if it was a chillin' day. Bloc Party usually has a good tune to relax and ride to as well.

Mark Farina series of jazzy downtempo called Mushroom Jazz. Number two is the best.

Kruder & Dorfmiester are another funky downtempo group. Look for K&D Sessions.

James Holden is some neat spacey electronica.

Soul Coughing or the solo stuff from the leader Mike Doughty is good mellow funky.

Nirvana unplugged in new york.

People Under the Stairs AWESOME funky and laid back hip hop totally recommended.

Prefuse 71 very interesting and funky glitch-hop. Totally chill and AWESOME.

The Shins.

Check out Adem, song titles launch yourself, and somethings going to come. Arcade Fire is decent. If you like rap you can't beat A Tribe Called Quest for mellow stuff.

Grateful Dead's 5/8/77 show at Cornell available for FREE (they like sharing the groove): http://www.archive.org/details/gd1977-05-08.shure57.stevenson.29303.flac16
I would suggest downloading the "Dancin in the Streets" through "Fire on the Mountain" for highlights from the show.

Nope if we are talking about the same ADEM the Rapper on tour with Josh Maritnez, no he is from Madison WI. I used to be the co-owner of a Record shop/DJ Shop in Duluth Minnesota, he and Josh Martinez played a few shows at our spot. Got to know them purdy good, then and visited them a bunch in Madison Wisco.

I think this is a different Adem. I'm pretty sure this guy doesn't rap.

There are very few albums in my boat that get played all the way through and the low end theory is one of them.
