tubeing skiing and fishing should be banned

im so sick of other boats getting in my way unless there pulling a wakeboarder. all tubing does is waste gas. skiing takes no skill at all except stand there and fisherman just sit in there boats doing nothing at all. i think i might bring my paintball gun and just shoot them all. or my potato gun and sink their boats haha}

Ha lets see you ski, that be a funny time.. Dont come on here bashing others fun, yes I know this is a wakeboarding site, and thats great and all, but cmon. A lake is a lake, people can do what they want on it. This is prolly why wakeboarders get alot of bad rap.

WOW! I think that's a pretty harsh statement. I know i hate it when i am pulling/riding and tuber rolls through but its a public lake.

Fishing is harmless to wakeboarding i actully feel guilty when we roll by with a weighted boat & they have to deal with our rollers.

Skiing was probably the begining of all water sports behind a boat.

All you can do is show other people on the water respect & hope they show the same respect.

we all have to live together so dont get yourself so worked up about it.

Idiots on the lake are one thing, but dont go bashing skiing, or whatever fun people are having just because its something that you dont enjoy.

I think everyone deserves to use the lake but I do agree on a few things. First, save the tube for when the water is choppy. The rule in my boat is, if there is glass we ride first. We tube when everone is done wakeboarding and try to stay away from where wakeboarders are. The girls are the only ones in the tubes hahaha. The second thins is when we are in the delta at union point and a fisherman comes up the wrong way. ANNOYING asside from that the fisherman in the delta stay to the sides so I feel bad for cuasing a wake in there area, I am glad so far they have showed courtesy.

Jet Skis and Tubing have been banned on the river here, and I will admit it makes for a much more enjoyable wakeboarding experience. Everyone going north stays to the right and everyone going south stays to the left and very rarely do you see anyone making power turns. There is a slalom course up north, above a no wake zone, so for the most part the south end is Wakeboarding, Fishing, and Crew… Boy does Crew Hate Us. There will always be opposing views on how to use our waterways, but complaining about it and or shooting paint balls is a bass ackwards way of going about change. This process took a long time and I’m pretty sure there were many city council meetings and numerous public votes over these laws. I’m sure it was a lot of hard work getting these laws passed, and if the jet skiers and tubers here wanted to unite and push hard enough they might be able to get these rules changed. Just got to be thankful for what you have while you have it I guess.

Well put eric. The only time I tube is when my home lake is choppy as all hell. Boats are made for watersports. All types not just wakeboarding. You have to have some variety sometimes. I am not as hardcore as most of you on here but I will respect nice water when it comes.

Just like riding a roller coaster is fun, and it does not take alot of skill.

I prefer skiers to wakeboarders, let me think, a ps 190 doing 34 mph in a straight line, doesn't bother me at all. Fisherman anchored 20 ft. from shore, once again does not bother me. I hate tubers but they have just as much right to be on the water as me.

Stop your bitching, get your board and go to the lake and go practice your riding. You can't get mad at someone for something they love to it. It's like saying snow skiiers get in the way and shouldn't be on the mountain... I'm a snowboarder, but I don't go around thinking I'm queen of the mountain or something..

To each his own as long as everybody on the lake is respectful of each other and their individual enjoyment.

I have to say, it drives me nuts when people drive in circles pulling a tube, expecially when they dont pay attention.

I have to say skiing is one of the hardest sports out there.... if you ski in the course it is. Otherwise, it's not bad at all.

I can say that I have tubed a few times when I was a short little kid, then progressed into water skiing when I was 4. Worked with that, and now all I do is think and do is wakeboarding. People on the lake are usually families, so atleast they are having fun as a family even though they might be wasting gas.

i wakeboard, ski, kneeboard, and go tubing and i agree that some ppl can be stupid! i hate when u fall to cuz sometimes ppl just dont see you!

i know on choppy days we get tha tube out n hit double ups ive had one of my friends as high as the tower and another one of my friends can do a barrel roll in da air. but when its glass and u go to get in your boat then u turn around and there are tubers there tearing the water up that makes me mad. and i think its funny watchin old men flip me off when i slow down to surf speed then kink the hell out of it.

Who cares what someone else is doing as long as they aren't being and Ahole about it. Granted I'm trying to get everyone I know to love riding so I can throw away the damn tube but I still keep one on the boat for those that want to.

brady, have you ever stopped to think that just maybe skiers tubers and fishermen think that exact same thing about wakeboarders?? that is the exact reason wakeboarders are often stereotyped as a bunch of punks.
