Anyone bought a nice deisel truck and wish they bought a cheap truck so they can afford the boat?
I am looking to buy a newer low milege deisel truck to trade for a 2000 dodge durango and a 1999 malibu response. Both run great, I just want to uprgade.

You should list your boat on the Malibu owners forum, and/or try onlyinboards.com

Durango, try putting it out for sale on a busy highway. I've sold everything doing it that way. (boats, campers, trucks, etc.)

Thanks, I will try the malibu owners forum, I think onlyinboards cost money and I really don't have to sell, just want to upgrade. I could drive both these for four more years with no problems.

onlyinboards really works, great bang for the buck, think I spent $59 and was on and off the front page untill it sold, and it sold, for me 35 grand for 59 bucks, easy math !

OnlyInboards has free listings as well, you do not have to pay unless you want to. The free listings just have some limitations. Thanks for the Props Drew!

I used the free listing at onlyinboards last fall. Sold my boat in 6 days. I'd do it again for sure.

I have a 2007 Dodge Mega Cab diesel and a 2008 Moomba XLV I got in 2009 as a new leftover. My house has been paid for, zero credit card debt, single, and NO KIDS. I put half down on the boat and almost half down on the truck. I will never own a gas truck. I love the diesels for the towing economy, durability of the motor, resale/trade value compared to a gas truck with same miles, and I love the envious looks of the diesel haters/wannabes

If you want to upgrade buy a listing on onlyinboards. 50 bucks is nothing and they run it till you sell your boat.

The diesel truck market right now is ridiculous. I've been looking for at least a month for something in the $30K price range, 06+ Chevy/GMC, or 06+ Dodge. All the trucks I'm finding are marked way above what they're worth. The new 2011 trucks are on the lot now, and they're anywhere from $50K to $60K, plus they're bogged down with emissions. That's making the used truck market skyrocket.

800 ft/lb of torque is bogged down?

I don't think that the Dodge and the Malibu are going to be worth enough to get anywhere near a "late model low mileage diesel truck." Not trying
to be a jerk, just an observation. It might help your cause to list the hours of the boat and mileage of the truck.
