GoPro 3 coming soon

I see my local shop Performance is liquidating all their gopro2 gear (wifi bacpac, lcd screens etc) and stated they placed their gopro3 order which should arrive in few weeks.

That's awesome cause that means the HD2s will be on sale soon

The new Camera should be very cool!!

So who wants to buy my Hero 2

Any info or links on it? I haven't heard anything about it.

GoPro is coming out with a new camera which will go on sale 10/21 online and 10/22 in shops. No pics available yet, but these are some of the features:

There is a Silver edition for $299 and a black edition for $399, not sure what the difference is.

Doubt it...but i just sold my gopro2 package (wifi bacpac, lcd etc) so will be ordering the black gopro3.

Looks bada$$. 720p at 120fps... YES PLEASE! I'm really surprised we haven't seen a 3d wakeboarding video yet...

Oakley has a 3d wakeboarding movie of their team to show off their stereoscopic sunglasses! Harley did a slim 5 and it looked really cool. 3d wakeboarding/snowboarding look best when the water/snow is like flying at you imo.
i want to see a review of the lcd touch screen before i invest in one but i feel like thatll really be a good addition!

So has anyone got their hands on one yet? My Black Edition is being delivered today at my house, bought the lcd touch bacpac & new microsd card last night.

Well, what's the verdict? Mine is coming in today.

Did you order the black?? I love mine so far, few hiccups and an update I'll have to wait on to use the app and fix a few glitches.

Yeah. I ordered the Black. I picked up the Silver a couple weeks ago and didn't really care for it. I only shot a little bit of video but it just didn't seem like much of an improvement over my Hero2.

Has the app gotten any more stable?

Hey first time Go Pro user as soon as I get mine, 2 things, If I'm just going to use it for an occasional surf and board run's should I take advantage of the Go Pro hero 2 I have seen then for around 200.00 and it did not seam like much of a difference from the Go Pro Hero 3 silver i was thinking of getting, and another thing how many of you really mount them to you boards and what do you do to keep it from falling off on a big crash??

The silver is basically the same as the Hero2. Not reason to upgrade from the 2 to the silver.

We use ours on boards and helmets all the time. Floaty backpack is the ticket! And an extra line attaching it to a binding.

So the Silver is basically the same model as the hero 2, So since I don't have one yet should i just get the Close out hero 2 or should i pay a little more to get the few upgrades you get with the Silver. I'm dropping hints to my wife and want to make sure I hint the right info..LOL
