Jim, thanks again for the pulls yesterday. It was nice to squeeze in one more ride.

Eustace, glad to hear you've healed-up okay. Just remember, snow and ice hurt more than water! :-)

With the weather changing we are done for the year. It was great and I am glad we got those couple extra weeks in. We did see Alex towing this morning on our way to a Motorycle race down his way. Here is a pic of Alex passing Katrina. We will probably see everybody at SOS in December
.

So we're towing along Route 72 west around 7:30am Sunday when my phone rang and it was George.
"Hey! We're heading to a motorcross race in Eagleswood and we just past you going the other way!"
You gotta love how ubiquitous our wakeboarding family truly is!

Yes, Sunday was officially our last day out and we kept it family day; just Doreen, Connor and me.
It was 75º, the river was glass, and except for the occasional bass boat, we had the place to ourselves.

We did our first sets in dry suits, but it really wasn't that cold. I did my second set in a wetsuit while
Connor toughed it out in his man suit. Unbelievably, when packing the boat I totally failed to
bring our vests. Thus, both Connor and I used standard orange nylon life vests. Remember last year's picture
of Justin as Scuba Steve? There's a picture of me in my wetsuit, helmet and orange vest, but it's so
bad I can't post it. But even in an orange vest, I stayed true to my word and attempted numerous back rolls.
I never even came close to landing one and every crash kinda hurt, but it was a good way to wrap-up the year.

As we were pulling out, my friend JT rolled in with his brand new Nautique 236. Wow. What a boat.

Little by little I've been adding stuff to www.njwakefest.com It's nothing really "new" (we were all
thre and know first-hand what happened) but it's just kind of fun to work on the site and add stuff.

George, thats a great shot of the kids.

Alex, way to stay true to your word on the backroll attempts. There is no way you can come on here and tell a story about orange life vests and not post the pictures. POST THEM! As soon as Johan gets me the videos from last week I'll show you how I hurt my kidney. Next year I will land a backroll. You can count on that.

I still say we make a vt trip this year well... assuming we get snow that is

As I was standing on the swim deck in my full wet suit, helmet and orange vest, Doreen told me I looked
like a pregnant seal. Ya' gotta love her. Doreen took two pictures of me in my early Halloween seal costume,
and despite my better judgement, and only because Jim wants it, here's the "better" of the two:

It's kind of short notice and I don't know if anyone cares, but Huckfest Productions is going to have a
premiere on Thursday of its newest offering, Blurred. If I did it right, this link should have the deatils.

The season isn't really over, is it? I'm just waiting for a call from one of you crazy boat owners wheo wants to sneak in another 2007 set before the winterizing of the boat happens!

But should the days be done for riding in NJ, what an exceptional summer is was to look back on- the jersey Riders crew grew in numbers, Mother Nature smiles on our second annual Wakefest, there was actually a contest in new Jersey!, and the countless number of days everyone enjoyed out riding.

Thanks to everyone who provided me a ride and to those who I hung out with while riding. It was the bestt summer I've ever had riding and I really appreciate the whole NJ wakeboarding family!

Aw yeah!

Now let's get those snowboards tuned and waxed and figure out a day to hit the hills together!

I'm watching Transgression right now and so far it is a great movie. I'm going to the fridge for a snack then back to the movie.

I talked to Sidewayz today and my copy of Transgression went-out this morning. I'm hopeful I'll have
it by the end of the week. Doreen, Connor and I are talking the Super Air on a pretty long road trip this
weekend, but I'm hoping to be able to squeeze-in a Transgression viewing somewhere.

A group snowboarding adventure? Cool. I'll sit in the lodge and drink and go home in one piece. Maybe I'll
hit the tube hill.

While this isn't wakeboard related, Red Bull is putting-on a "Down & Dirty" BMX contest on
Sunday November, 4th at 12 noon in Asbury Park at the
Asbury Park Casino, 801 Ocean Aveune. Admission is free. Of course, friend of New Jersey Wakefest Keith
from Red Bull will be there (he's the one who told me about this!). While I'm not really into BMX at all,
a Red Bull sponsored event held in urban cesspool Asbury Park will probably be pretty cool and
worth possibly having your car stolen! I put a tab for this event on www.njwakefest.com
where you can download a pdf event poster and see the official Red Bull press release.

My box of Sidewayz goodies (including Transgression) hasn't arrived yet. Hopefully
it will show-up soon.

My Sidewayz care package finally arrived, but I'm probably not going to watch Transgression until Friday
or Saturday. There are a couple of Trasgression threads here on wakeworld and it's getting mixed reviews.
I was going to add my 2¢ into the thread discussion, but I don't have a dog in that fight. As a
wise past employer of mine once taught me "words are silver but silence is golden." And no where is this a
more apllicable rule of thumb than here on the wakeworld discussion board.

I brought my boat in for some "last chance" warranty work on Saturday, and once I get it back it
will get shrink wrapped and that will be it until next year. And I'll call it right now..I'm shooting for
a late April '08 start.

Doreen, I've been after Jim to set up an FLA riding trip! I dont need convincing :-)

As for transgression. My thoughts...... I think it needed more energy. Music was good, but not what I personally like to see in a vid. I couldn't watch this vid if I wanted to get pumped to ride. The riding was amazing of course, scenery was great, cinematography was equally good... Aside from Randall's section, It just didnt have me running to grab my board :-(
I'll give it a 2nd watch this week. Dont get me wrong, very well done vid and I'd like to see them make another.

I think I've heard it said that confession is good for the soul. That being said, I have a confession.
I went to see Bon Jovi last night with Doreen, Kevin and Karen. There. I said it.
Kevin took a funny cell phone picture of us sitting in the arena and I've been trying and trying to
upload it from my phone and onto my computer so I can post it here, but I am just too retarded to figure-out
how to do it. Oh well.

A mid-winter trip to Shaun Murray's? Sounds like fun. Should I give him a holla? Sheesh. How many of us would
there be? Wakeboarding hard for two days in February? We wouldn't be able to walk right for a week.
Travis took this picture of Connor and I after three days at The Boarding School. Look how small Connor is!

ahhh, the Bon Jovi Concert, yes it was a good time. I know a few of you got that pix message from me....

Some of the many highlights of that night were:

I had one job to do all day, that was to print the tickets before we left...I forgot and we were close to missing the train.

There is a local tobacconist called Jimenez Cigar out of Newark that was rolling cigars right there in the stadium. They had a booth and to be honest I originally thought they were Leon Jimenez but was mistaken. Damn play on words....

We all smelled the fresh popcorn and it was yummy. We had looked for popcorn but didn't find any more than small bags at the vendors. Then later when we were sitting down, a lady walked by with a bucket of popcorn, and for a second alex considered stealing it from the lady!

We worked out that it cost more to eat at the stadium than it would have to build it ourselves...

While Chris Daughtry was playing, the end of the last song has a real hard metal beat to it. Alex said it was the best part of the entire set.

according to Alex's watch Bon Jovi played for 2hours 13minutes and 4 seconds...But who's counting.

During the song Have a Nice Day" Richie Sambora flips the bird to the crowd. To quote Alex verbatim "that was richie sambora's rebel moment"

We smoked up at the Secaucus Transfer station platform waiting for the train home. During this time we also made the decision that the song N--ga Sh-t by Big Pun will be either Alex & Doreen's Entrance songs, or their first dance song at their wedding.

WOW. First I find out you like the Giants now Bon Jovi. Bon Jovi? Im confused and dissy now. How come I never hear Bon Jovi blasting from your boat on the river? A closet Bon fan, wow, who would have thought?

I winterized my boat yesterday and put her to bed for the winter. I have been working a lot and finally got the time yesterday. My usual parts place was closed yesterday so I went to Trenton Marina and met the new woman in charge of their parts department. She seems to know her stuff and the best part is only 3% tax in Trenton.

Jim,
Bon Jovi was actually girls night out. Yes, Bon Jovi's a Jersey thing, who doesn't know the songs, but the guys still endured a night of screaming woman (and guys) so we can see Doughtry and Bon Jovi.
It was a thank you for all the 5:00 wakeup calls over the summer to drive all the way to Bordentown! :-)

Well after listening to Alex's tower speakers on the river for most of the summer, I decided to blow some dust off my wallet and buy some of my own. I figured if I was going to do it I might as well do it right. After much research and finding a good deal I decided to go with wetsounds pro 485's and a kicker sc700.4 amp. The guy at wetsound told me to be prepared to have people come from across the lake and ask me what I have in my boat, so you should be able to hear them when your riding. Now I just need to find someone to set it all up. Upload

Woowwww Woody, nice. Yeah, loud tunes definitely enhance the entire wakeboarding vibe; for the rider and
for the people on the boat. And your new rig surely looks like it will pack a whollop. Teresa must be
thrilled to have all that stuff all over the bed.

No Jim, you've never heard Bon Jovi being blasted from the Super Air. Nasty gangster rap is one thing,
but Bon Jovi? Can you imagine? I'd probably get shot at.

And they played for two hours, TEN minutes and four seconds. I don't know if I could have handled
that extra three minutes. But it was good to see Doreen singing, dancing and having a good time. That's what
it was all about.

Hello Everyone!
As some of you may know from the thread, there’s a new Oakley film coming out – “Push Process” of which parts were filmed at Bordentown as well as the Navesink River with Keith Lyman, Amber Wing and a few others that were there, along with some of our own NJ crew that were lucky enough to see it.

Craig at SOS is putting together the Premiere on Thursday, December 6th at the Algonquin Theater on Main Street in Manasquan for those interested in attending.
Doors open at 7:30, however, they probably won’t start until closer to 9:00. The door fee is $3.00 and all proceeds go towards saving Barnegat Bay.

As of right now, Alex, Connor and myself will be attending. If you need further info and or directions, you can call Craig at 732-892-8303

Jim, that's priceless!

Doreen, Craig just called me today with that same info........I can't wait for that night! As a matter of fact, if anyone wants a ride to the premiere from Bordentown, I have extra room for 6 people. This "flight" on the 'burban will feature some wake films, such as Transgression and Counterfeit this! Any takers?

BTW, Craig will have some cool stuff to raffle-off and give-away. Who knows, maybe a celebrity or two might show up.

I've removed the Red Bull BMX event tab on www.njwakefest.com and replaced it with a Push Process premiere
tab. If you click on the Push Process logo you'll go to a trailer on WBM's website.
It looks like at the 1:35 point in the trailer you can see the Trenton Power plant in the back ground!

Speaking of trailers, there's a really cool trailer for the next Sidewayz film, Blackout, but I have
two different links to this trailer and I'm not sure exactly which one I'm supposed to be posting.
I should have this figured-out by tomorrow.

Hey! And speaking of Sidewayz, Doreen and I watched Transgression this past weekend, and I'm in there!
It's only for a split second, no one but Ronn, me and the people that we point it out to will ever know
it's there, but I'm in there! It was a pretty cool surprise.

I like how that picture of Kevin and me is all grainy; sort of like an image captured from a convenience
store surveilance camera and then later posted on Cops or America's Most Wanted or something.

I got a call from Jeff Z yesterday. In addition to talking about a number of various topics, he asked me to
pass along his greetings to everyone in the New Jersey crew! He also said he's considering making the
trip south to attend the SOS Christmas party. Pretty crazy, huh? He hasn't made-up his mind yet, but
I think if people give him enough encouragement it would help push him in the right direction. So, I'll
start the ball rolling:

Jeff Z! Come to the SOS Christmas party ya' nut ya'! It's going to be a great time!

Speaking of the SOS Christmas party, can you believe it's that time of year again already? I looked through
the pictures from last year's Christmas party and we DEFINITELY had a great time. At the same time, the
pictures reminded me of my over-indulgence of adult beverages that night. Here's a pretty cool pictures of
the crew from that night. For some reason Annette's rubbing my big gut; probably for luck (wish I had
a watermelon, wish I had a watermelon). And if you think I look lit in this picture, brother, I was.

New Thread will start 1/1/08 and be New Jersey Riders 2008 or 2K8.Looks like me and about 4 will be heading to the premiere.

Last Saturday I had a get together at my house with my regular boat crew from this summer so we could watch the UFC fight and hang together as a group before Johan leaves for Iraq.It was Chris,Ken,Mo,Josh,Johan and I. We watched the fight, drank ice cold beers, talked of the great season we had together and created another memory of our crew for Johan to remember and help him threw his long days in Iraq.I'll post a pic this weekend.

Johan, I thank you for what you do for our country. Stay focused and bring your butt back here in summer 08 for more great times.

The new issue of Wakeboard Alliance just came in the mail today......awesome story about the filming of Push Process in New Jersey and New York! Maurice even wrote about some "random fans" (who were mostly kids)interacting with Keith Lyman at the Bordentown dock! (I wonder who they were? :-)) Plus some nice action shots of Amber Wing on the Delaware (page 106-107) and Keith Lyman boosting some major air on the river too! (page 109)
Cool pics of George Daniels on the East river (page 110-111) and Lyman again in front of the Statue of Liberty!

Next thursday is the NJ premiere of "Push Process" in Manasquan, I can't wait! Hope to see you all there!

Greetings all. Transgression is in an online contest right now and Ronn needs your vote by the end
of today, Friday November 30, to help win. You have to go to www.ourstage.com you'll have to register
and create an account (it's free), and then you have to go to the video section, then to the action sports
section, and then the judge section. Sidewayz could win a nice cash prize and could use your help. Thanks!

In other news, my boat's still not packed away for the Winter. Some mishandling has me going back to
the dealership this Saturday to straighten things out. I had to cancel my shrink wrap appointment
to make this unscheduled return tow.

Is everybody checking-out the new wakeboardnj.com features? Very cool.

The site is looking great Alex!

If you want to link directly to the bordentown tides as opposed to the yacht club main page, I believe this link will do it.
http://www.irbs.com/tides/locations/1698.html

Lets talk about the detailing section/oxidation removal on Thursday! I'll point some stuff out that I see which can help concerning the buffer trails/holigrams that are in pics 2,3 and 4 :-)

Otherwise looks great. I need to spend more time over there. I like that format much more than this one

Ok...game on! The mailman has delivered the official SOS Christmas party invitation!
Upload
This will be about the fifth or sixth SOS Christmas party for Doreen and I. In the early years we
didn't really know too many people there, and now it's really cool how this has become such a "happening"
annual off season gathering for the extended NJ wakeboarding community. I'm totally looking forward to it!

I have a correction: When I first posted the Push Process premiere information on njwakefest.com
I posted the theater's address as 173 Main Street. But after speaking with a theater representative
I learned that 173 Main Street is the box office and the actual theater location is 60 Abe Voorhees Drive.
If you found your way to the box office you'd probably be able to then find your way to the theater,
but for the sake of accuracy and intellectual honesty I felt it important to post this correction.

Finally, I recently took The Super Air up to Off Shore Marine in Branchville for some work. When I got the boat
back I had a few concerns. I then emailed the owner Lou, he had me bring the boat back up to him, and he
not only addressed my concerns, he went above and beyond in his efforts. I left there totally satisfied;
and for an anal cynical perfectionist like me, that's saying quite a bit! I applaud the professionalism
of Lou and Off Shore Marine, and I truly recommend them if you're looking to buy, sell or service a boat.

And finally finally...yo Chris...what's that dog sniffin' for?

Cool crew party Jim. But where are the cigars?!

hey anyone have the full address to the premiere, cause i have no idea were abe voorhees drive is?
Old     (nj_alex)      Join Date: Aug 2002       12-06-2007, 8:38 AM Reply
Just go to www.njwakefest.com and click on the Push Process Premiere tab. Scroll down to the bottom and
I have directions there, which I pretty much took right off of the theater's web page. If you want you can
click on the picture of the theater and check-out the theater's website. The directions are more detailed there.

I got the news this morning that Jim can't make it to the premiere. Tough break Jim, but the augmented
paycheck will probably be an acceptable compromise!

Hey everyone, yep it is sad and true that my daughter and I will not be at the premiere tonight because of work. Like Alex said the up side is that this 2 day overtime check will be paid to me on Dec. 22nd, which is much needed xmass money. The good news is I should be able to make the SOS xmas party. Have fun tonight and take lots of pics please.

Alex smoking is bad for you and Chris always attracts the girls.LOL

haha, i'm surprised it took this long for someone to comment on that.....I've been waiting for that one!...THanks Alex, lol.
Jim, dude.. .cant believe you got suckered in to working tonight, sux bro.
I'm out of work at 7, so I'll probably show up around 8 or so. Probably wont be staying past 10 though b/c I have work early.

OK the entire Barcliff family will be going to the SOS XMASS party. This will be our first one. What is the set up? Food, drink, music? What time should we plan to arrive?
Old     (nj_alex)      Join Date: Aug 2002       12-07-2007, 3:54 PM Reply
Even though the offical starting time of the party is 5:00pm, we usually don't get there until around 6:00.
There will be some basic catered food, some cold cut platters, beer, wine and soda. The band sets-up in the
large room where Craig keeps all the vests, bindings and water skis. Just come in and scout around for
familiar faces. If you get there first just pick out a cozy looking spot and hang. There's usually some wakeboard
bench seats and a couple of tall tables in the big room.

Also, a good chunk of us are going to be invading Point Pleasant around 3:00 to see what other kind
of trouble we can into around town before rolling into the SOS party en masse. We could be at Frankie's
eating nachos and throwing back beers, we could be at the boardwalk throwin' ski balls at each other, we
could be at Brave New World looking for bargins or we could be at the hotel partying on the balcony and
smoking cigars. If anyone hits town early and is looking for something do, give me ring.

Seemed like Big Blue had some extra men on the field today wearing black and white!

Oh well, we're just in a slump. Should be much better in a few years! :-(

Woody, did you get your boat back yet? When we hitting Chickies & Petes?
Old     (bwood)      Join Date: Jul 2003       12-10-2007, 3:45 AM Reply
Sometimes the Eagles get the calls and sometime the Giants get the calls. I've seen a lot go the Eagles way over the years.

They gave me a good price to store the boat for the winter, so I jumped on it. It's nice to have the driveway open. I'll make sure to bring it home early so I can get those tower speakers up for opening day.

The new sports bar Alstarz is open, if you want to give it a try?

Woody, Allstarz sounds cool. Let me know when you want to go.

It was good to see everyone over this past weekend. If anyone wants to meet for a snowboard/ski day in the poconos after Jan. 1st I'm game.

Jan. 5th I'll be hitting the NYC boat show, if anyone is interested in meeting up there, maybe drinks after near Times Square???

Finally, everyone have a safe and happy holiday season.

Peace,
Dave

Congrats JB! Glad to hear mom and baby are doing fine.

Time to start board shopping for the spring! (5 months should beat Parks' startup age!)
