Is the X-80 even that good a wakeboat? Seems like it would be too big for a decent wake to me

does 2 350HP motors mean it has 700HP? Or does it just mean twin 350s? Either way with dual MCX motors you'll have plenty of power. So by my calculations you friends would have to kick in $30.00 a pull for you not to loose money!

I;m selling mine because I"m off at college, and I think I'm going to down size to a little smaller mastercraft. The x80 wake is awesome for as big as the boat is. It's not it's actually narrower than an X30 and without any ballast is about 1.5x this size of the xstar/x2 wake. but it does go through some gas, and it doesn't make alot of sense to have that big of boat when most of the time it's only 2-5 of us out on the lake.

You wouldn't believe how many kids there are in college that have wake boats, I was the only kid in my High School who had a tournament boat, but I know of at least 3-4 other kids at school that have MCs or natiques. sorry don't know anyone with a malibu

So, how does it run compared to boats like mine, the XLV w/ the 320hp motor? Top speed? Yank your freaking arms off hole shot? I'm very curious.

mine gets out of the hole quicker than just about any boat in it's size range. I compare it to a x2/xstar with the 330hp, haven't been in one with the MCX top speed is 48-50. it actually runs a little faster in 2-3ft chop. the real difference is when you load it down with 10-15 people it still gets up out of the water quick, but that has alot to do with the trim tabs too..

ryan, do you have the sts? i hate riding with more than 4 people on the boat. i would buy the 80 even if i only rode w/ that many peeps. it is so nice to totally stretch out and not touch anyone. maybe i'd want the vlx so i could sack it out and it'd be easier to drive. sh:t, i dunno. i'll figure it out when i have that kind of money at my disposal.

The one with the twin MCX's is faster out of the hole than a pro star 190 with the power slot tranny. It's actually the fastest boat in MC's line.

According to MC the X80 STS has the fastest 0-36 time, and the fastest top speed. I've been in a barefoot MC with the 454 that got smoked out of the hole by a STS. it was pretty impressive

The pull I got behind an X-80,he almost ripped my arms right out of the shoulder socket and I was the 2nd to get a pull so the 1st guy getting the pull told him to go easy on it b\c he almost hurt him pulling him out of the water. Twin MCX 700HP not to mention for wakesurfin is the bomb.Run one engine and you get good wake on one side, run the other side while turning the 1st off and you got a nice wake surf on the opposite side...The boat is very impressive wake and all.
