It's cool when the lake is above capacity because you can go to the drain hole, and see the water go down.

Cabin, I was up there last week just to check out the lake. unfortunately I sold my boat and have to wait for the new one to come in, so I couldn't ride.

I know that's not a picture of you. You'd drysuit it if the water was 65 and air was 80. Yeah, dude, we've got plans to come up, either next weekend, or the last weekend in March, for our birthdays.

I heard some crazy shizzle about Berryessa. Something about them loosing their permit to operate the resorts, and that there may no longer be boating allowed. Anyone hear about this? I heard the trailer owners might have to pack it up.

We went up to Berryessa on saturday, it was our first wakeboarding this year. About 300 other people had the same idea. It was a challenge to find any smooth water. Perfect Pass was telling us the water temp was 55 degrees. Sounds cold, but we wore spring suits and didn't have any problems. Two nice new Calabrias pulled into the parking lot about the same time as us, with about 4 unbelievably good looking women in each boat. They had to be porn stars or something, perhaps making a wakeboarding oriented adult film? Actually, this really has nothing to do with the story, I just wanted everyone to know we saw some ridiculously hot broads. (Message edited by Joe 788 on March 11, 2004)

Jrod, I havent heard anything about them not letting boats on the lake. But as far as the resorts, aka trailer parks, go they all got these long leases from the goverment and they are up in a few years, 2008 or 10 i think. At which point everybody may have to pull their trailers off the govt land. The reason for this, so i've heard, is because the bureau of land management or some other govt ageny(s), forget who, want there to be more public spots around the lake but the dont want there to be any new impact on the environment. There are already petitions going around, law suits in the works, and various other stuff going on to stop it from changing. I even heard somebody talkin about tryin to get some of em historical landmark status.

They are getting rid of the trailers due to sewage problems. Pleasure Cove was the first to go. They found a couple of people dumping grey water and raw sewage and instead of policing them they said you are outta here. My information comes from a past owner who's buddy lost his home there. They are targeting the other areas soon too. If anyone is thinking of buying a place there be sure about all the regulations.

Yeah, they have been getting rid of the ones with sewage problems for a while now, i remember hearing about a bunch of people at pleasure who were kicked out a few years back. But i think he was talkin more about the posibility that all trailers, regardless of sewage problems, will be taken out. Just found this- http://www.lbtaskforce.org I've also seen an article or 2 in the SF papers about it when they first started talking about it and the Bureau of Reclamation had this super biased pamplet going around with a picture of a trailer that looked 10 times worse than any i'd every seen up there sittin by its self as the before picture. Then for the after picture the trailer was replaced by like a bench and a campfire and maybe a tent with a nice happy family around it. A lot of the info in this pamplet also seemed pretty bogus. And as far as them wanting more land for public use only there is a bunch of land on north east area of the lake that could probably work too, although it looks like some people may run cattle over there. Heres the petition that they have online http://www.petitiononline.com/SLBP/petition.html
