These boats have really caught me eye because for a direct drive they seem to have a lot of room, an open bow, and a nice deep v.

Also, the beam is 7'8 which should make for a wider wake than the 2001 (my only complaint about those wakes is they are narrow)

Im looking at one tomorrow, anyone ridden behind one of these? Seem like a lot of bang for the buck.

My friend Alejandro used to have one. He doesnt post much on here, but I dont think he liked it. He said it was too wide and took too much weight to get a good wake. He know has a 210, but admits the martinique is probably one of the best built boats he has every owned.

Leo, Id love to hear from him about the wake, it looks like it has a deep v to it.

The boat was too wide or the wake was too wide?

I will talk to him and get a direct quote, but I believe he said the hull was too wide. He really likes narrow boats because it makes wake making eadier.

Hey Mike, I am going to copy and past our AOL discussion:

justliketoride: it felt bigger than a 22 footer
justliketoride: and it was only a 20
justliketoride: tons of storage
justliketoride: very nice ride
justliketoride: big wake
justliketoride: really well built
justliketoride: cons:
justliketoride: the deep v that gives you the nice ride and big wake, also is slow to get on a plane,
justliketoride: uses more fuel
justliketoride: and the wake tends to wash on the top

IM him and ask him personally. He is one the nicest and most helpful guys you will meet.

Wow, that's a big boat. 4000 lbs without ballast?? That's Epic boat territory! The older Correct Crafts were built like absolute tanks. I know mine is.

However, with it being wooden stringers and floors (wood stringers encapsulated in glass), still be diligent in checking for rot. If it was neglected, and I mean completely neglected, then the stringers and floors could still be swiss cheese. If it was even half cared for, it should still be Ok though.

Looks like a good boat. I have no experience with the Martinique's (I know old Nauti's better), but I'd still put down money for an old CC. They were so well built to the point of being overbuilt. Good luck.
